As I mentioned, "per the room manager." I waited closer to 90 minutes to get a seat in one of the worst 3-6 limit games I've ever witnessed. Don't want to start bitching about limit, and luckily my name was called soon after for a 1/2 seat, but this casino has some major issues:
1. DEALERS
2. DEALERS
3. DEALERS
Whichever outside company, school, etc. responsible for training these people should be discredited immediately. Being from LA, (and having attended "casino college") I can tell you that at best, maybe 2 of the current Sands dealer staff would pass an audition for a local card room back in California.
Be prepared to constantly move the button, cut chips, re-assign the blinds, read the board, and debate rules like the calling of "string bets."
The result of this nightmarish dealing? SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW games.
During some of the downs, I bet we were lucky to get 20 hands in an hour.
I hope I don't sound like a big grouch, but this piss-poor dealing was inducing some tilt in my game last night! It's painful to watch, so be prepared.
And do not, I REPEAT: do not wait for the chiprunners- go to the cashier or pits and get $25 or $100 chips for your rebuys. If you go broke, you must sit out while they go to the cage- this is so bad for business! I've seen several well-tilted patrons walk away from the table because they couldn't get back in the action right away.
