-23 tables - usually 50-60% will be 1-2NL tables
-Sat night is the most fishiest - 25-30% non regs - typically younger
-1-2NL play varies widely by table, 1-2 aggressive players can totally change the nature of the table. Most reg players are passive tight waiting to play big starters or hoping to catch a big hand after limping.
-Room is less than one yr old but staff does a very good job.

In general, 95% of the players are playing social poker with a basic poker knowledge. The better players are selectively aggressive and prey on players unwilling to risk their stack and go home early.

How has the internet shut down affected things? It's been a while since I have been in.

I've seen ZERO difference in attendance in the room. Looks like it did 3 months ago.

Played there the other day. Didn't notice a difference.

actually this past week while I'm working I do see a few more tables open in the poker lounge. Nothing special but the late hours I work it was very rare to see more than 3-4 tables, but lately its been like 5-7ish tables going until 4-5am so small sample size, but could be because of the internet shut down.

Omaha running tonight. Table should be open around 830 for those of you interested. O8 limit 5/10 with full kill, good game.

There was a little difference last Saturday it seemed. When I was there, all 23 tables were still running at 2AM. I don't remember that happening much. I think there will be a bigger difference in the next few weeks though. It will take some time until a lot of the online people start coming in.

Coming to play later today into tonight. Anyone notice difference in crowd (more or less) due to holiday week?

Played there last night.. my 1/2 table was tight, full of old ppl, and chips were barely moving around.

Had to settle for roulette to cheer up my day

I checked a few pages back but haven't seen it mentioned:

Since the poker room expansion has there been any PLO spread? 1/2 or 2/5? Also curious about L08 or LHE.

Thanks

Almost never PLO... However I would love to get like a 5-10 NL and 2-5 Omaha mix going

What limit games are running, only 3-6?

You are likely to see an uptick in room play in California and Vegas where online pros live. Less in eastern PA, where fewer pros live. Even then, they would probably go to AC to play there. I'm sure they don't have a high opinion of these new smaller poker rooms.

3-6 is usually the only limit game going

How often does the O/8 game go? Is it always 5/10? I live in northern NJ. This is much closer then AC. Like the 10/20 1/2 kill game at the borgata or 5/10 at the Taj. However, I can't get there very often. It is just to far.

Spent some time today at Sands (1-2 NL) and met 2 players from Northern NJ that were there for the first time and are Borgata weekend regs.

How many people do you think are still playing in AC even though the PA casinos are way closer?

What kind of a roll would be required for 1/2 NL assuming decent competency on the part of the player. Also assuming this would just be a couple nights a week to supplement a job. A friend and I can't agree on a number.

3k? Maybe more or less, but if you're a winning player, you shouldn't burn through 10 BI's that quickly.

That's about what I was telling him. 3-4k...He was saying he was fine with 1500-2.

Yeah I'm fine with the 1500-2000 estimate. I play 2/5 pretty regularly and have kept track of my win/loss for over a year now. I win approx 70% of the time and my wins, on average, are more than my stake ($500). Furthermore my average loss is less than my stake.

I play tight-aggressive and haven't gotten felted more than twice in a row, and even that is pretty rare. You'll be fine.
