Thanks for the reply Bored5000. 3/6 isn't bad, but a nice little 4/8 game with a half kill would be fantastic. Really got into that game at The Orleans in Vegas. In fact they also run Omaha H/L at the same stakes (fixed limit, not pot), and it's also a kill game.

Not to get off the beaten track here since this is the official Sands thread. But have any of the PA poker rooms become known yet for having a decent variety of limit games?

Most rooms I know have their one or two tables of 2/4, and some do run 3/6. But then the next limit jump would be like 15/30 H.O.E. at Mohegan, which first of all isn't my game... and second of all is too high for my taste. Something smack in the middle, and preferably just limit Holdem (not mixed game) would be perfect.

Anybody see the wait list on a rainy Sunday? Was pretty nasty last Sunday, prob due to the fest...

Sunday was terrible, 3+ hour wait.

Anyway, been lurking and following this thread for a while and apparently, due to the horrible wait times and the lack of the Sands to actually want to figure out anything to do with their site and / or with Twitter & FB I took a shot at it.

This is 100% unofficial and NOT affiliated in any way with the PA Sands or Las Vegas Sands Corp! It was done to help players.

http://twitter.com/pasandspoker has been created with an auto-retweet bot geared only towards the hashtag #sandspoker. Anything you tweet with that hashtag will automatically be retweeted by @pasandspoker, within 30 minutes.

Disclaimer, this is the first bot I've setup and I'm not sure I've worked all the bugs out, but will continue to refine it as needed. I didn't heavily test it yet, so if a few people would be so kind as tweet and test it out, I'd really appreciate it. If for some reason your tweet isn't RT'd within 30 minutes, I'm sorry! Leave a reply or shoot me a PM with a link to your twitter and I'll look into it.

Since a lot of us are on smartphones / iPhones anyway, and use Twitter, I was hoping this would be a quick and easy way to get updates on how long the waits are, just tweet with the hashtag, you don't have to @ reply to the account for it to pickup.

Thanks, the limitations I have right now are the feed parser only scans every 30 minutes, and only RTs up to 5 at a time, to help cut down on abuse.

Still a totally different game than NL.

Thanks, I'm seeing a 50% failure with the tests so far, so the more that can help with live updates the better.

Also exploring other options for this, however Twitter seems to limit / block the number of queries for specific items, which is causing a partial problem with parsing the feed properly.

BTW, last night got there around 1045 and sat immediately and there was almost never a wait. When I left around 1 there were two 2/5 games going that I think they were trying to merge into one, that's how dead it became.

Update: The RT bot is working, but is not perfect, yet. I'll be putting in a little more time tonight to try and refine it and get the kinks worked out. Please try to use the hashtag and / or follow http://twitter.com/paSandsPoker for updates.

Update again. I've moved services to try and make it a little more reliable, and changed a few settings. I've put way to much time in so far today on this, but still need people to test it using the hashtag #sandspoker and to follow @paSandsPoker on twitter to help make this as efficient as possible.

Just posted that to the twitter page^^^^^ and I think everything is nearly 100% resolved, with no looping retweets and every single one successfully going through off the hash tag!

that was updated by a user about 80 minutes ago... something like this was suggested about 20 pages ago in this thread and I got it up and running today. It will obviously take some user support, but if you use Twitter, follow that and update when you are there, if you don't use twitter but have a smart phone / droid / iphone you can always just pull up that page in a web browser and see what's current.

Was there for the first time this afternoon about 4:30 was a 15 minute wait for 1/2. It really wasn't smoky in the poker area and did not feel cramped to me, although my seat was on the outside. Good variety of player from tag, through loose passive, passive passive. Good percentage recreational from the feel of my table with a lot of donators.

No dealer errors while I was there, which is very good and needs to be noticed. We al too often criticize with errors.

Wow, busy at 2:20 on a Weds, maybe kids trickling back into school. Lehigh starts class on Mon. Not sure about Moravian, etc...

Why do 2/5NL players play 1/2NL while waiting and cry / scream about how crazy the play is? Sat with a guy last night while he waited for his 2/5 seat and he was genuinely pissed off at the play at the table.

He does not know how to exploit it, plain and simple.

If you have the bankroll, when he moves ask for a table change to his 2/5 table and take his money.
