I agree -which is why i like to step away from the table - wash my hands & then grab a qucik bit to eat.

I just wish the food court had better food to offer at the Sands. I've played at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs and found the food to be much better in the Wolfgang Puck express in the food court & the food also much better in the race book area than at the Sands.

Now imagine how many of them pick their nose, sneeze into their hands, and don't wash with soap after using the bathroom.

Def make sure when you play you dont touch your face, unless you have a small Purrell bottle with you!

12 on the list for 5-10 O8 full kill and they don't open the table...18 tables open so they should be able to do two more, esp on a Friday!

Some people just don't care or even think about it I guess when they are ordering food and in the game. Personally, I never order food at the table and just thinking of how many germs are on those chips from every possible person with terrible hygiene touching them and chip shuffling kinda psychs me out. I'm not such a germ freak that I'll carry those germX bottles around but eating at the table is something I won't do.

Just eat with one hand and handle cards/chips with the other.

It is not the same thing as showing cards (which I agree should be dead). This IS a clear established Omaha rule anywhere.
Blue, I agree with your post. My point is that there was never issued a warning to me when this occurred the first time which happened to be for a pot of +500. If you are a player of O8 which I am assuming you are based on several of your previous posts, you will know that many times players just show two cards and muck the other two and take down pots without their hands being killed or being issued a warning. It is pretty irritating to see it as often as I see it and never any other time seeing a hand get killed other than my own time which was a large pot and I never received a warning either. Other than playing O8 at the Sands, I strictly played it online as well as home games so I was never aware of the rule until my hand was killed. As often as Sands loves handing out warnings to players it was just crappy to learn the rule by having my hand killed without a benefit of a warning myself. Did you play in the game last night Blue?? It went strong until about 3AM with a good waitlist for majority of night after opening at 7PM. If you did play last night which player were you??

Every experienced PLO or O8 players KNOWS that all cards must be shown to be shipped a pot (at showdown). That's a basic basic rule.

If that's occurred then the dealer in those hands was in the wrong. You can't be upset when another dealer actually enforces the correct rules.

Like BLUE said, mucking any card (let alone 2) counts as a full hand muck. You don't get warnings for mucking cards. You get awarning for showing a card(s) while action is looming, betting out of turn...etc.

Showing down 2 cards and tossing the others in is simply a mucked hand.

Protect your hand sir.

Yes, as previously mentioned, playing O8 at the Sands was my FIRST time playing the game in a CASINO setting. At my home game as well as online, I have never been aware of this rule. I now understand and agree fully with the rule. My beef is not the rule itself, it is that my hand was killed without the benefit of a warning. Since this happened the same thing has happened many times without the player's hand being killed or even a warning. It is not right that I was the only person to ever have their hand killed for this rule is my point. If you are going to have certain rules, apply them to all players and have them enforced uniformly is the way it should be done IMO.

They use the same rule in India.

Shake with the right, wipe with the left.

I assure you the time in the Bethlehem Sands thread isn't as valuable as you might think. We were just discussing "food at the table" the previous posts.

I do not know who chefs is and never played with him. I did look at his previous posts and he looks like he is a troller to me. Some other good food to get tableside is quesadillas and the shrimp basket and fries. Just use one of the handi-naps that comes with it prior to eating and sit out a little and scarf it down. The breakfast items on the tableside menu were all awesome that I had as well. I think the most food for the buck on there though is the quesadillas.
If you think the people handling the chips and eating are gross that is nothing compared to what our table saw there once. One guy sitting next to me pointed out a guy at table next to our's wearing sandals and picking something off his toes and eating it, possibly part of the toenail or dead skin. He told me about it and I of course told whole table and dealer about it and we all witnesses him in this gross act about three more times. One woman at our table said she was getting sick and could not watch anymore.

I was at the Sands yesterday and I heard from my friend that, in the near future, the buy in for 2/5 games is going to increase to a grand. Is this true?

I believe they are removing the 5/5 game and increasing the 2/5 to 200 - 1000.

Thinking of coming by to check it out this Sunday. What kind of wait times can I expect around 10am on a Sunday morning? (1-2, 2-5, 3-6 Limit)

wow, that will make 2/5 a bit harder. I always kinda liked when the aggro's left for 5/5 land, but it does make sense.

In the end most people will likely still buy in for 500-700, so they have mult bullets. time will tell

Shouldn't be much of a wait if any on Sunday morning.

I wouldnt be surprised to see people playing with gloves. I recall seeing that at some limit tables, but when the room is 65 degrees, it more of keeping warm than anything else.

11am and the Wed 10/25nl game has two tables running already. This game has definitely got some traction. I don't recall Borgata getting two 10/25nl off so early, so where did all these high limit players come from?

Q's. how does the game run, small player pool I assume and likely tight?
What's the min buy, 2500 or 5k? I assume no max. What do ppl buy in for usually?
All chips or cash (I assume $100's play?)

Have any of you played this game? How have you fared? Next time I go it'll be on a Wed to watch some of this game.

You may not get an answer on the 10/25 games. Certain posters would like the nature and possibly the existence of these games to be on the down-low to keep the games juicy.
