I have been twice, both times on a Monday, and both times left around 8 or 9PM with no issues getting out at all, just some construction traffic on 78 East.

So, I dropped by to check out the room last night from 9:30pm till 12:30 am:

Some Impressions: I was not about to commit myself to the 54 person waiting list for 1-2 NL, nor the 2/5 NL list of 40 people. So I decided to jump into the low limits of 3/6 Limit. The wait was roughly 45 minutes, and happened to find myself in a game of loose passive folks who were just waiting for there seats in the no limit games. Now, I have not played such low limits in a very long time, so it was quite an adjustment. After 2.5 hours, the game seemed to be breaking up, so I called it quits up $175.

My memorable hand of the night. In the BB hoping to push some action I raise it up with 3 - 6 clubs. Three callers with a rainbow flop of 2 hearts, 4 diamonds, and 5 clubs. I bet, 2 callers, 1 raiser...So I pop it up again...2 folds with a call....Turn was a Queen of hearts....I bet, the other player raises, I reraise and he calls...River was a 9 of spades...I bet and the other guy calls flipping over King/Queen....

Overall I was impressed with the room or should I say section.

1.) They need to get a handle of going through the lists. I saw too many empty seats, and over heard way too many people claiming to be peeps on the list when the actual person showed up.

2.) I am sure they will add more tables, but leaving two open on a Thursday night is unacceptable especially during Musikfest. When I left the lists were @ 15 and 10 deep for 1/2 & 2/5 NL at 12:45 am.

3.) I have read complaints about the Poker Cashier being slow, but I did not find this to be true.

4.) Overall I was very pleased with the room and looked forward to making it my home away from home.

I was there in a Phillies jacket and blue Phillies cap, hobbling along on 1 crutch...So, I look forward to meet some of my 2 plus 2 compatriots on the tables.

The night I was there, 2 tables were closed as well, it was a Monday, but there was a very long waiting list for NL that night (at least 40 deep for 1/2), I got a seat on the 3/6 in about 15 minutes. We were told they did not have enough staff, I'm sure they are working on hiring more people, I have read it's a pretty tedious process.

I have played that 3/6 twice, my experience spanned from kind of tolerable to miserable, I can't see myself returning until the room expands and some higher limit games are spread (hopefully), or maybe this will be my reason to start playing NL if I'm looking for a shorter ride, but this weekend I am AC bound, again.

Dela that makes perfect sense, but me being only 15 minutes...I am willing to wait and skip the 3 hour drive.

15 minutes might change my perspective too! My drive to Sands is just over an hour.

Yes other games are being spread. Friday night there was a 4-8 limit, an Omaha game and a 5-10 no limit.

How do the 2/5 games compare to Borgata? More regulars?

There seem to be a descent amount of regulars, but I've only been there in the afternoon on weekdays. Does not really matter to me, many regulars tend to some of the worst and most predictable players.

I have been playing 2/5 mostly on weekdays and there seem to be good mix of regs and others.

I assume the weekends are much more heavily weighted towards randoms over the small amount of regs the Sands has built up at this point.

I myself would be a reg thus far...But christ almighty my wife is such a debbie downer....One visit thus far...But I will get'er done and work my way over much more often hopefully in the coming weeks! 15 minutes away...Vegas at this point seems closer!

Was nice to see a 10-20 Limit game for once. Sat down to a full table, about 30 mins later, we were playing 3-handed. After awhile the table filled up again. My stack was an elevator...down...up...down...

Keep those higher-LIMIT games going please!!!

That wait seems relatively small compared to the first few weekends. Is the list still ridiculous on Friday and Saturday?

Where is the closest hotel to the Sands? I have only been going for day trips but I was thinking I might come for a couple night this coming weekend.

Is Musketfest over?

Dealer told me Sunday nights are relatively quiet. Not dead, but not packed. Almost no wait at all for any games. And there were seats open at the table games too!

Musikfest finished last night.

There is a Holiday Inn Express where you are likely getting off of 78 (Hellertown / 412), right next to the Wafflehouse

Also if you follow 412 past the Sands, there is a Comfort Suites about 1 mile down on the left.

FYI, college is going to start soon and the weekend that it does will be packed in town that weekend. Of course I am sure there will be a ton of over eager Lehigh students ready to pounce on the poker tables. Not sure if that is +EV or just +Busy!

Great! Thanks for the info about the hotels.

As for the students it sounds +EV and +Busy.

FiftyOuts

A 5/10 NL game seems to be running sporadically through the week and more often on Friday and Saturday.
