I'm looking to place to play live 5 card omaha and especially in the USA.

I assume you're looking for 5 card PLO, but in case you're open to limit, Parx has a 10-20 Big O game (hi low split)

There are definitely games running during the WSOP in Vegas. Otherwise you may have to look at The Orleans for 'steady' action in Vegas .. but it may not be 2/5 there. I would think that if you got the casino to open a list for this game that you would attract some Players, but it wouldn't be immediately.

I believe a search using Bravo or Poker Atlas is only a 'real time' search .. but again, if you started a list at a major casino .. Commerce or Bike in LA, Maryland Live, Tampa Hard Rock you would probably garner some short term interest.

Most of the PLO5/6 being played is on the 'club' Apps or online sites in the few states where allowed (IMO) since a computer can determine a winner and/or split a pot in no time compared to a live Dealer and all the other 'help' around the table. GL

Seminole hollywood seems to be the best place at first glance.

I also enjoy pot limit 5 card omaha hi low but I hate 4 card omaha

Are the games on those casino fully public, any tips for a beginner in live poker (I 've never played on the USA)

I know a little bit about HR Hollywood, having been there during tournament series. All the 5-card PLO games are played with a "rock" straddle, and 5/5 & 10/10 go quite regularly, with BI limits of 500-2500 and 1k-5k respectively. The BI limits for 25/25 are 2k to uncapped, if I remember correctly. 5-card PLO is time raked with no jackpot drop. Running twice is allowed, but at a full 8-handed table it's 1 flop, 2 turns, 2 rivers, with the burn cards & stub being mixed & cut for the final burn & river. The games are pretty good, and open to all players at HR Hollywood.

To add to South Florida, The Big Easy Poker Room currently have three 5-5 5-card, and two 1-2 5-card PLO games going. I know nothing other than what I see on Bravo, having not played there ever. A HR Hollywood dealer told me the games at Big Easy are pretty good though.

What is a "rock" straddle? (In the first hand UTG post a straddle (2 big blinds) then whoever win the pot "gain the rock" and will have to straddle UTG and so on?

Maryland Live has 2/2 5 card running almost every day with 5/5 on weekends, MGMNH is about 30min away, MDL has lots of hotels around the casino and is one of the best casino destinations by far out side of LV.

The rock is a mandatory straddle that is awarded with each pot. It will be a special chip, or two chips rubberbanded together or something similar.

When you win a hand you become the straddler in the next hand, regardless of position. Pre flop action starts to the left of the straddler.

Maryland area has been good, but I think the new hot spot for plo5, especially bigger games, is in Florida.

The bigger plo5 games at MD Live are quasi-private and invite only to the main game, which is 5/5/25/50 (or else you have to wait hours), while must-moves (5/5/25) are open to the public but can take a while to get in too. Tuesdays there are your best bet for 5/5 must move, Friday 5/5 runs but it's only one main game and you have to be invited.

The Monarch Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado spreads a 5-5 PLO 8 or better game 2x a week and spreads 5-5 PLO high only sporadically.
