club h2 in sao paulo is pretty tight. they run nlhe and 5 card plo and probably 4 card plo also. rake appears to be 5% uncapped. i played 5/5 (reals) and there was a 5/10 reals game too. club is very nice, great food, massage girls are pretty cheap and give really, really good massages, think it is 2 reals for 1 minute. 5/5 game was very loose passive, so the rake almost never went above $5 usd anyway. would be a bigger issue in higher stakes games.
MTT is the best way to approach poker in Brazil. We have the Brazilian Series of Poker going on full year schedule in several major cities. KSOP is another series with good tournaments. Mainly NLHE action, but also some PLO. Some poker clubs are famous like H2.
And you can enjoy the online action, ppl in U.S. can't.
So, yes, is much better than most countries.
