You're probably right. The hand didn't even happen to me so it's not a big deal.

Was scanning Twitter yesterday and came across an interview of Dash Dudley, the WSOP PLO champ from this Summer, which was conducted by another local who comes onto this site a bit. It's in podcast form on crushlivepoker.com and it's currently 'free' in it's entirety so you may want to listen to it when you have time.

There's no glossing at all, I've met and played with Dash enough to know that everything you will hear is genuine and that some times the 'good guys' do win in poker!! GL

A little 'life' interference over the weekend but I was able to check Bravo and get some intel on GLake PLO and FK 500.

GLake PLO turnout was a little light at less than 20 'Players' but they did get up to around 30 entries for a decent prize pool. I think the play must have been pretty good after the entry was cutoff since they did go well past 600 PM before it was completed. Word is that even though the payout was for only 3 to get paid that the top 5 all took $1K and then played on with the 'winner' taking home the extra $1600 or so. Really not a bad result ... Even if you had 2 bullets into it (and maybe the $100 add-on) you still took home at least $400 for the effort.

FK had a great turnout at 340-ish, but didn't hit the money until around 830 PM. I didn't look after that but I can imagine that it both went pretty late and there was probably a deal in there unless someone was just being stubborn. GL

There is an interesting thread that's just exploded since Sunday night here on 2+2. A Player from 'Stones' casino in CA is being discussed heavily for possibly cheating on their streams. Just search 'stones cheating' and it will pop up here.

Some heavy hitters from Twitter world are now involved and I just couldn't help but take a look a some of the videos myself. This Player is making A LOT of 'poker' moves at the table and just never seems to get very many of his chips in 'bad'. There are also spots where he would have to explain things off via 'live tells' or 'history' ... like folding KK (over pair) v set of 8s in one hand.

He has a decent history of results in both tournament and cash using 'outside the box' methods, but is just running too good on the stream for some folks liking.

I believe they have banned phones and the table for steams going forward. I don't watch these as much as LAB or PAD since 'the booth' is not the best (getting better). They do have CMoneymaker on site quite often ... check them out on Twitch.tv for sure, maybe YouTube. GL

I participated in the PLO tourney. It was great to see such a slow structure in a tournament, this allowed for actual play at the final table. Of course, an Omaha tournament is going to have more play since all the money doesn’t commonly go in pre-flop. I would love to see a monthly Omaha tourney running, maybe 2 weeks apart from the black chip monthly? Thoughts on having a bounty Omaha tourney?

I have stated 'somewhere' before ... I think Noon on a Saturday is a questionable tournament starting time, especially for PLO Players! Bounties seem to be catching on since you can get some of your money back without making the FT. And when these tournaments are 80 and under making the money can be a task!

I like trying the PLO once a month ...
I like the re-entries at 2 and add-on option ...
I love the fact that the players were willing to included the 'double bubble' in the payouts ...
I love the idea of a decent structure post late entry ...

I think it needs to start at 2 or 3 with the same 3 hour window for late reg. GL

Any October cash promos announced for GL? Might get over that way this month and don’t remember seeing anything in the emails. Was pretty nice getting a mailer last month even though I never made it there.

Yep ... it looks like there will just be the Progressive Hands and High Hands at GLake this month. Last night they had one that rolled over to $800 before it was hit ... with two Players both getting AAAQQ within 5 minutes of each other (at the same table). I think there were only 3 NL tables going at the time, along with a PLO and the Sunday 4/8 Limit RxR. Pretty amazing that it went 4 hours and the 3rd worst qualifying hand won the cash!! As is 'tradition' at GLake, both Players each got $800 as they don't chop it up as other casino may do!

Plenty of action where I was (no surprise) as there was about 4K on the table getting passed around ... just no big Showdown hands until those hands hit.

Don't forget that it's MSPT week at FKeepers. Sattys every Noon and night with the ME going off at Noon Thur/Fri/Sat. Should be another great turnout with 1st place going for over $250K by sometime early Monday AM. Look for the 'golden ticket' hawkers to save a little on your entry. I'll be firing my usual 1-2 bullets on Thursday and playing 'something' on Sunday (hopefully tournament). GL

What are the cash games at Fire Keepers like during MSPT? I imagine they are busy?? Thinking of making the driver over for cash and to see the MSPT buzz

Cash game action will be pretty solid later at night as tourney tables break and get replaced with cash. There will likely be some deepstacked NL and PLO going. Just dont show up at noon looking for a cash game.

There should be cash going on all day Thursday, but it will be limited until after 300 or so. How big it will be will depend on who and when the busts occur. They usually don't fill all the tables for tournament so it will come down to Dealers/Players being available.

On Friday don't expect any cash until 430-530 with it going possibly later on Saturday before things really get rolling. The trick will be basically standing there when they open up the lists, which can really suck. So if you don't mind bringing a book to read (or feeding your penny slot fix) you 'could' show up as early as 330 to see how things are going, but you might be WAY early.

Saturday cash is usually the best since Players who haven't made Day 2 (and some who did) will be ready to play hard at cash.

There are usually some good cash tables on Sunday as some Players wait around for their buddies to bust from Day 2, but they usually don't go too far past 6-8PM for being super juicy. It's just hit or miss with who's around. I usually get there around the same time the tournament restarts (1100) in an effort to be on top of the bigger game lists. GL

Went to Blue Chip today to check out the sports book. Nice enough looking room. They had a 5 handed 1-2 NL going at about 1pm. Whole casino was pretty dead.

I find myself at Blue Chip about once per year, and it's always miserable. It has its own thread here somewhere.

I actually like the casino, the nightclub, and the hotel there. I used to get comped a room somewhat regularly. Its too bad the poker room is poorly run and often dead.

Pretty much a smooth day at FKeepers. They didn't quite match the Day 1A total from Spring at 332 entries, which was about 10 short if I remember correctly. Couple of Dealer issues but really not much to complain about. One did occur on my bust-out hand when a Player was moved to our table and sat down in what could've been the BB. The Dealer said he had already pulled the deck out of the shuffler so that Player couldn't get a hand. I semi-protested but didn't press it to the point where the Floor was called. Of course I bust in the hand when my AQ was bested by KT on QTT Flop! I asked the Floor about it afterwards and it was indicated that the Player should've received a hand.

There were 3 PLO games going past 11 PM and I ended up recovering from the tournament set back when my A8JJ held on 58A,A for stacks. I didn't think that the 1/2 was as active as it could've been, but it's Friday and Saturday when things really get going late in the cash department. GL

PS ... It was nice to be 'welcomed back' by many of the staff as opposed to 'you abandoned us'. I even a nod from the boss!

Great weekend of poker in WM. Even with all the action at FK I saw that GL was at about 70-80% of their normal Fri/Sat evening activity. Not sure what time I looked Sunday evening, but it was down a bit at 2-3 NL and a PLO.

Some decent cashes from WM Players, I don't think anyone made the FT but none the less still a good showing from Players that I've at least heard of ... including a couple of $14K-ish top 20 finishes.

No stream due to the CA Stones issue and either MSPT and/or FK being nervous about the long term ramifications of a law suit filed about how secure the streams actually are. Really too bad as the FT was loaded with 'known' Players including two Massey boys and the brother of the guy who won one of recent FK events (and has a WPT title too).

Looks like the tournament troops are headed to Chicago this week and then we head towards the Winter slow down ... so to speak. MSPT is coming to the end of their season in a few events ... not sure on the others but usually from mid-November through the end of the year tournaments slow down a bit. GL

Played a Wed PM for once ... not really too exciting. I had seen some pretty good action but maybe 'everyone' is in Chicago? PLO broke 'early' and then I played NL for a while. One Dealer kept putting out 'slot machine' boards where the BBJ could hit and even 'gave' one guy quad AAAA when a SF was out there. Although my table was pretty tight the chips were still going in enough ... good times.

If you have PokerGo you can watch our local WSOP bracelet winner playing in the WSOPE today in a PLO final table ...

Well, I guess I got bad information. DD is in the final four in this event 'right now' and you can follow it on WSOP.com live updates ... GL

BBJ hit at GLake yesterday during the lunch hour. BBJ "winner" called a bet of $75 OTT to see his straight flush hit the River against 7777, with that Player taking in about 77,700 (imagine that!!) for his losing effort. Table share was just under 13K since one Player was on lunch break. Pretty sure that at least some of Players (77 guy for sure) left some cash for him.

The Dealer was seen taking in quite a few green chips ... so that's a pretty good months work!! The reset was just under 50k, so not too shabby.

Had to figure it would hit soon, the Boards that have been coming out in NL have been BBJ Boards ... just needed to get a couple of Players to connect (and maybe a little bit of crazy mixed in there too). Table 2 has now had the last two BBJs if I remember correctly. GL

Two locals are moving on to Day 3 of the WSOPE main event. Would be quite the story if they both go deep overseas. See wsop.com .. They are 6 hours ahead of us so updated info should start by Noon for sure. GL
