Get to FKeepers today if you can ... last chance at Wednesday drawings ... double drawings at Noon and Midnight I think.

Word is that GL will have a soft opening for tribe members and Black Card holders on the 5th ... then officially open on the 7th. Still ongoing 'construction' but they have come a long way with the labor they've thrown at it.

King's PLO runs Thursday to Saturday during the morning session. Pretty hard to get first table and the lists have been long with Players bringing 3-5 bullets with them so the list moves pretty slow until after 230 or so ... see if that changes once GL opens.

The State caught Eastbrook running with only two charity members present. Chip sales were suspended until the third member arrived. Not sure if this will be an issue for EBrook AND the charity, but the charity will definitely have a problem .. probably lose any other license opportunities for the rest of this year or next.

With HPT in Chicago this week the cash games at Horseshoe should be very good Friday and Saturday, but with it being a holiday weekend Players may not play cash after busting the tournament as much ... which should make the cash games even juicier since it could be the real degens ... GL

That's exciting news. Thanks for sharing! Next weekend is gonna be epic.

Thanks to everyone for all the updates over the last 6 months. It's been fun sharing the anticipation and the wait with you all. I'm not a big poster, so this is probably it for me here for a while. I'm sure I will run into all of you at the good ol GLC at some point, as I plan on being there often. Thanks again!

Regarding the charity rooms, I've never played them, so none of you would know me from them. Call me silly, but they've never felt legit to me. Eastbrook (10 minutes away from me) is a dump. I'd never go there. I'll be stunned if the charity rooms can survive, but poker is hot. Maybe. I'll pass.

Any idea what stakes they will offer?

Personally I hope the lowest level game is 1/3, with a 500+ cap.

Great news on GLC... I will be very curious to see what kind of tournaments they are going to offer since I am a tournament player and have been very anxious to get a room close to me that has tournament offerings. It will be interesting to see how many people they get on a daily basis when it opens and then see what the interest level is like a year from now...

Don't get too excited and be the first to spill a drink on it.

Another HPT champ lives in WMich!! 'Internet' Jake took down the HPT ME title just after midnight last night for more than $200K. He was chip leader at the start of the day and needed all those chips to make it to the end.

I didn't turn on Twitch.tv until they were 4-handed and Jake did sit as short stack for at least some of both 3 and 4-handed play. He played very conservative for what you might expect from him as a cash player. He finally got his double and then was very lucky for another double when he made a check/shove move from the SB and got caught all-in with T5o v A8? ... needing to hit the River and 'bink' there was the 5. He also hit another River to make a straight during HU play and flip the stacks back in his favor. He had his opponent dominated in that hand KQ v K8 and the Flop was K8T, Turn 9 and River J for the straight. He actually had quite a few outs on the River to counterfeit the Flopped 2-pair. He took it down when his opponent got frustrated and jammed 64s into Jake's A5. GL

Pretty sure Jake had AT. Also, at the time, the action wasn't clear to me. Jake had the button, and I assumed he must have min-raised and called a shove that would have been about 9xBB. But I asked Jake later, and he clarified that he had open-shoved the button, and gotten called by the 64s. Very odd.

Jake played very well, as did the entire final table, at least for most decisions.

Looks like he had A8o. I am interested in watching the complete stream but I don't think HPT leaves them out on Twitch (like MSPT) in lieu of the TV episodes.

I think there was more 'poker' being played once it got to 4-handed than a typical FT where the charts/cards take over. Certainly the 3rd place finisher and Jake were mixing things up ... Jake being caught SB c/shoving T5 v A8 being one of them. He sucks out on A8 with a River 5 and then wins with it later! "That's poker folks" to borrow a PAD line. GL

Four Winds-South Bend had 2 tables running (with a small list) most of the day on Tuesday. Not sure what day they opened, but apparently they did have demand for poker in that area that the charity room wasn't seeing (or properly taking care of). Bravo shows no games running at FW, SE or GL right now and only 1 at FK with no list.

Eastbrook was 'normal' yesterday ... I didn't stick around long enough to see what happened with the tournament. I haven't been to Jack's (King's West) for a few weeks so not sure what's going on over there. GL

GLake to open at 10 AM tomorrow (Friday) .. $200 High Hands (AAATT) every hour through 12 AM Sunday night. Make sure you get a Players Card before you get in the game or lose out on your promos!! Tied hands both get full payment ... awesome. If no winner the cash will roll ... awesome.

I've heard $1 comps/hour. Some sort of BBJ also.

You can buy chips in the room, assume you can redeem also. Drinks/bar in the room as well. Looks like 1/2 with $300 cap. GL

Under tournament info on Bravo it says "coming soon " so it appears they will definitely be doing tournaments. Hopefully they get those up and running soon too.

PLO is gonna go here too. Probably this weekend at least and might be a weekly game as well. I was told it was going to be a semi-private game to start as a player is working with GL to build the pool and keep game running.

GLake started off well .. 9 tables going within the first hour and a full house (14) past midnight when I checked. The PLO graduated from 1/2 up to 5/10 as the day progressed. Lots of new faces at the 1/2 tables but not so much at the 2/5 NL or PLO tables. 'Only' 6 1/2 NL tables going right now with 5 on a 1/2 PLO list, some NL limit lists as well as 2/5 NL. See how the day goes if I make it back down there ... SMoney must have a different calendar than the rest of us with his Sunday being our Friday.

Took my nephew up to SEagle for his 18th birthday (Pixie's as well, light weight stopped at 6 burgers so we needed to help him get on the wall.) Their 1-2-5 PLO turned into a 2/5 NL just before I got there with 7 on the list so I was stuck playing 1/2 for the two hours we were there .. good, above average action for that room with pretty easy reads with a few Players saying they hadn't been to FKeepers or Detroit 'in years' ... guess they don't get out much.
