FW NB screwed up with the animated tables and with BC still in the market I don't see how they would be happy with whatever they get in there. GL
According to the press release, FW SB says they added the poker room due to high demand. Those animated tables were horrible, for sure. I agree with your take. It's just so strange to me to have such a large, high profile casino like NB without a poker room. It probably wouldn't be a huge draw, but poker is so red hot right now, it seems like if there were high demand at SB, there would be at NB as well.

Cool to see Firekeepers bump up their comps. You'd think GL would have their comps at $1 to be competitive. I'm really hoping all the competition will translate into more promos and players. For example, I think a $250 high hand every 4 hours is a little on the low end when casinos are doing more than that every 15-60 minutes at times. $1,000 lucky seats every hour, even just for one day, is way better.

I'll take some and try to figure out how to post them. I understand where you're coming from. FK is 75 minutes away from me; GL only 25. FK is just far enough away where it's hard to go. On days where I can only play 2 hours, GL is close enough where I can do that.
I agree with you regarding FK's staff. So many long time dealers there. I've been to GL countless times, and the people that work there that I know treat me and my family (who go nearly daily) really well. Valet, servers, buffet hosts/staff, security, waitresses in the cafe, custodial, the former food court (I miss Johnny Rockets), and the suits. All top notch people. I have absolutely no doubt that the staff in the GL poker room will be at the same level as FK. Hopefully it's on the level and worth a trip for you some time.
