We should have a 2+2 meet up game in the near future

Can private tables be requested at FK?

I doubt we could get a full table... Especially with ANSWER20s fear of me

They had a 'private' 5/10 NL game on Mondays at FK for a short time. I believe that they opened the table with the 'select' players and maybe had a min time that they would be left alone. After that I think they had to open up the table to a list via Gaming Regulations. The game went south for a couple of reasons, but I don't have all the details. There was a dispute between the players and casino about something (add-ons, RIT, pulling back bets .. something) and I think a couple of the players ran out of bankroll as well.

MCC has their 'Game of the Day' which essentially is a private game at the start. Players from the week before have priority to start the table and 'stay' at the top of the list, but they also must open up the list to anyone. They keep a notebook at the check in desk where you can sign up a week in advance ... basically right after the existing game starts/breaks. GL

I would be totally down for some HORSE or 8 game as a change of pace. I played 4/8 horse at the venetian a few years ago and had a blast despite dropping a ridiculous amount of money given the stakes.

Yeah, but that 5-10 game was at like 10am. I think they even had a 25-50 game going

Job listings for poker dealers and a room manager at Gun Lake are no longer up on Indeed.

I'll be playing so much at Gun Lake that I don't need to poker myself out this summer

I'm not sure how big you were losing, but I think you were wearing an FK pullover and sunglasses.

Gotcha. I was way off, then.

I highly recommend sunglasses for one simple perk: No one can see where you're looking, and that's good from both a strategical and non-strategical standpoint.

I've never understood why there was so many people who are against people wearing sunglasses at the table. They make strategic sense and as far as I know they don't slow the game down the same way cell phones and headphones do. And they can create good poker fashion unless you wear silly looking ones like Greg Raymer.

Those people have it stuck in their head that sunglasses = cool, therefore this guy wearing sunglasses at the poker table must think he's cool.

They give the wearer a passive perk in that no one can see their entire eye area and everything that entails.

Tempted to purchase those sunglasses on TV ... you know, the 'eagle' military ones ... just to see what they look like inside a poker room. I've only worn them a couple of times, once because my regular glasses were broken at the time. Didn't really like it and felt like a target, which I think is very true at low stakes.

Not sure if you should go polarized or not ... I know I can't read my cell phone screen when wearing my sunglasses so that would mean taking them on and off a lot, which is something I don't really want to be doing. But lots of WSOP TV table folks only put them on when they are in a pot ... GL

I can see it now, the first day of poker at Gun Lake. Fifty of us walking up to random people saying "sup bro" and getting a lot of weird looks.
