Nice day at FK yesterday. Got there early to max out my entries and was lucky the overnight table was still 4-handed. The monkey didn't find my name on the first three drawings and I headed out.
The table I was at eventually heated up after a bit and then we converted it over to a 1/3 NL so others could come in and match stacks if they wanted. I wasn't real happy that I had to leave as the table was just getting to where I would've liked it to be, but the run good for this week continued in a couple of hands and my allotted time was up!
The wait lists were under control but I think they will need to add Dealers each week for this promotion. Our table was very hot for High Hands as well with the 200 being passed around three different guys. Then we had a Q-high St-flush .. that got tied .. and then beat by a Royal at a different table for the 600 HH. The 200 was a $500, but unfortunately I think the guy who won it lost almost that much waiting for the payout.
Are you running good or playing well? That is always the question ... I think a little of both. I think I was saved by my schedule a bit too ...
Last Orbit Hand: Pretty normal 1/3 PF, not sure if I opened with 56
or called someone else's from late position. Flop = 7

(HELLO!!) Checks to me and I 1/3 pot it, T-shirt Ron flats and then a guy shoves for about $165. THEN .. a FK reg jams in $450!! What would you do?
Of course this is supposed to be a no-brainer. But I'm just about ready to leave and who wants to lose this pot at that time? I evaluate everyone and eventually fold (and show) and the table goes nuts of course. The obvious spot is that someone has 99 and the 9
hits and we are all a bit gitty for the BBJ. Is our straight good? Is our heart draw more than 2 outs?
As poker players we are supposed to play just to happen upon these hands once a blue moon ... I folded ... The Board blanked out ... The FK reg showed the nut straight of JT, no heart. The legend of ST3 continues ...
Guy on my right is blown away that I fold there and yet called his 'obvious' 3-bet with KQ
and flushed his set (of Queens, Q
T
6
Flop) on the River.
This amazing game and how one decision can affect a session in the most dramatic ways!! GL
