It seems, that from January 1st, 2020, only casinos/card rooms owned by the government are allowed to cater to poker. Since CCC is privately owned and their licence expired end of 2019, CCC closed now. As per the Internet, law suits are running and the owner of CCC wants to open again, but has to wait on a court verdict expected for end of February ...

All private cardrooms, including the CCCs and the Montesino in Vienna, the Poker Royalen in Wiener Neustadt and the Alpha in Graz, are closed as of 2.3.2020 and will not open again.
So with the new law banning poker outside of state casinos in Austria, poker in Austria is practically dead. R.I.P. :-(

Currently you can only play in Casino Wien, but they only have 2-3 cash tables and no tournaments. For any decent tournaments you must travel to Bratislava, about 1 HR drive by car.
