5-10 NL is probably going to run tonight at the river rock, I just left and there are 15 names on the interest list.

Way outside my bankroll but I know anything above 2/5 is kinda rare here

Anybody with a car want to carpool to Grand Villa? I'd like to check it out and could chip in for gas money.

Fraser Downs got 133 entries for event #1 of their series. The three other events should feature considerably less entries but that's still way more than anybody was expecting.

I'm going to be in Bellingham WA for a few days next week with evenings free. Fraser Downs looks like the closest room, is that correct and what's action like on weekday evenings? I'd play their 1/3NL game. Curious what border crossing times are like and whether it's worth the effort to drive up for a few hours of play and then have to drive back across.

Maybe just go to Tulalip instead? Check the Seattle threads.

Border crossing shouldn't be too bad. Use the 'Truck Crossing', not Peace Arch. That way you can just blast straight up 176th to Fraser Downs.

Action will be unspectacular, but fine. Just go, the room is nice.

Fraser Downs is a great room, but the action during the week is unspectacular like the previous poster said. The action mostly happens on Friday/Saturday nights.

Back from my trip. Ugh. I never was able to make it up to B.C., not enough time after work. I ended up Googling for closer rooms and went out to a place called Nooksack. Called ahead but got a vague response, room was dead empty when I got there but it was only a 15 minute drive. Got some snacks and waited to play the afternoon $40 tournament that had a whopping 4 players in it, including me. It was poker hell. Should've gone to a lake for a jog instead. Weather was awesome.

Ahahah I work there. And yes our poker room never gets action. Cash runs some fri/sat nights.

I'm planning on heading up to Vancouver this weekend for the "Showdown" event at River Rock (C$1650). They are pumping out a suggestion to call in and register - is it actually likely to sell out in advance?

I couldn't find discussion of this event elsewhere - let me know if there is a better place to post this.

Hey,

Has anyone got a room to rent asap. I just moved to Vancouver for 6 months from the UK. I play 180 mans on stars full time.

Would like to move in with poker players if possible.

I love sports, socialising and I and am very easy to get on with.

Budget is around $800 depending on location, room size etc.

Let me know if you have anything going. Thanks.

Gonna be visiting Vancouver this summer, if I'm looking for mid-stakes Limit games (any game), should I visit Edgewater or Riverrock? Do 10/20+ games go regularly?

To the best of my knowledge, it's all NL games these days.
