Wow... 15 on the wait list at boulevard... With no word of opening another table... Actually, the word is they will NOT be opening a table or two!

Anyone play in the 2/5 games at edgewater and riverrock? How do the two rooms compare (calibre of players, softness) and who are some of the good regulars I should look out for? Played the riverrock 5/5 games a few times and found it kind of nitty.

I'm heading up to Vancouver next week to play the Spring Deepstack series at Edgewater. Can anybody give me an idea of what kind of field sizes are expected? Will these tournaments sell out early due to 200 player cap? What is the 2/5-5/10 action like at Edgewater normally and how much busier should I expect the games to be? Would it be worth going to River Rock to play cash? Any help is appreciated.

I wouldn't play in 5/5 or 2/5 in Vancouver in the casinos, don't think there is much of an edge for me.

Anyone playing the bounty tourney tomorrow at the RR?

Thinking about starting up a wednesday night home game in Port Moody for 2+2ers. Would probably be .50/1$ with no rake just players deal. I know ~5 players that would be in regularily but it would be nice to have some smart poker minds to converse with as well. Oh cool Grand Villa poker room open? I heard it was this fall.

Now if only I could afford to play.

I checked it out yesterday (Monday). They had a 1/2 NL ($300 max buy-in) game going at 10:30am when I got there; when I left 11 hours later they had three 1/2 NL games going plus a limit game going (4/8 with kill, I believe). Twelve tables in all, nice room. A real mix of dealers; some obviously experienced with a handle on the game, others less so (but all friendly). Friendly and experienced floor staff (at least one of the floor has many years experience at another local casino).

Action varied thru out the day, with table alternating between really good (a couple of terrible calling stations and terrible bluffers mixed in with a bunch of so-so players) and really bad (tight, nitty, no easy money).

Only real complaints are (a) needs more stalls in nearby washroom (was full up every single time I attempted to go, I ended up hoofing it all the way downstairs both times) and (b) slowest cage ever (once took 15 minutes for one person at table to get chips, and took me about 10 minutes to cash out; you'd think with 4 people working in the cage and a long line up they'd open up another wicket, especially when one person is dealing with some crazy coin exchange request, but no, you'd be wrong).

Probably won't play there again, but only because I have to cross a bridge / maneuver the Hwy#1 mess to get there.

4/8 kill omaha Hilo has ran almost every day at Fraser downs... Mon.Nite when game got short they did half stud half omaha8. Also wifi is 100% as I can stream all MLB games with no lag, on device. Wait lists are also live on bravo poker app.

Any PLO $2/5 or below?
Any deep NLH $2/5 games or shallow $5/5 games?

1-2 plo runs regularly @ edgewater in my experience. edgewater also has 2-5NL 1000 max.

Has River Rock picked up a PLO game yet besides during BCPC?

I recall there might be a 5/5 PLO game at Edgewater on weekends.

River Rock is also running PLO tournaments during August. 7pm, $50+$10, every tuesday and thursday.

Great idea, it'll probably help them get the ring games up and going once people wary of dropping $200 on a table try the game.

Anyone driving out to Grand Villa or River Rock? I'm looking for a ride and can chip in for gas..I'm near hastings and nanaimo. I usually play at edgewater but want to try something else, and don't want to keep walking through the DTES at bad times.

Edgewater runs PLO, and their 2/5 game is 1500 max so it plays pretty big. River rock and Boulevard both have 2/5 with 1000 max I believe.

catch the last train out to river rock and play until the first train leaves for Vancouver, problem solved

the first one back is at like 4:50 I think? Don't feel like getting home at almost 6 am. I went to RR the other day and had to leave at 12:40 to get the last train out. Wasn't a big deal because there wasn't much action at all at my 1/2 table (aside from what I was giving).
