Rake now capping at $8 at Cascades. Same everywhere else I guess. And now a $400 max buy in at 1/3.

I live in Seattle .. and wondering on what Vancouver has to offer in terms of bigger games? I usually play 5/10 and spread limit sounds gross.

2/5 1K cap runs nightly, 1-2 tables at 2 casinos (Parq and Grand Villa). On a weekend occasionally a 5/T gets going (maybe twice in past 2 months?) at Parq, and since most of the bigger GV players have moved over, idk what the hi stakes action if any is over there anymore.

PLO is 1/2/5 uncapped but stack depth is totally dependent on who showed up. It's 3 table must move so no whale hunting.

Not even being sarcastic, but a cheap flight to LA or Vegas is your best bet for high stakes.

Past 3 weeks now every Friday/Satuday theres a 5/T game. Havent seen 1 on thursday tho.

Was going to ask about 5/10+ as well, that's pretty disappointing. Given the population and wealth of the city you would think there would be a lot more action than there is. Get the impression there's some killer home games.

Give it time. It will be big soon enough. 5/T has been happening more frequently on the weekends. Plus its still very new.

Its hard to grow the game when casinos are getting less n less tables every year.

Random question but does anyone know if they allow backpacks in the Parq poker room? or do they make you check it with customer service?

They will exchange USD at the cage but not sure the exchange rate given.

Lol what? This is fake news. Every Van casino allows you to buy back at the same rate so long as you make it clear up front and do it within 12hrs I believe.

I always found Russ to be an honest hard working guy who ran decent games. I never played at the most recent house location, but I had played at his previous locations a bunch but never after the police raid.

I played with Russell from I believe the start when it was 1 or 2 tables at penthouse...was always fun..good structure

Fri and Sat evening if you haven't phoned in by 6 you're hooped. If you play PLO you have a better chance, not great but better.
