You're looking at a 1.5 hour drive in fair weather from Vail to Blackhawk. It's just under 80 miles, but all highway. If you're itching to play, it's worth the drive and you'll definitely enjoy the action there, especially at Monarch. If you want something a little more laid back, go to Bally's or Ameristar. They are all within a 5 to 10 minute walk of one another.
