Thought I'd start a thread for any of us Scots to chat it up. It's been a while since I played live, which has been mostly Glasgow casinos as well as Wabash and Cincinatis. I know there's a pretty good scene in Edinburgh(is it the Maybury?), but I've never been through to play there.

Cincinattis is still open AKAIK, but I heard the Wabash is closed now?

I play 99.9% online now, but enjoy 1/2nl cashgames when playing live - played in the Riverboat a few months ago. Rake seems obscene, but I guess it's a lively game.

I'm not proud of my last visit to Cincinattis a couple of years ago. Playing 6-card Omaha for the first time ever, and ended up getting it in preflop, a little deep, with KKxxxx, only to be called by AAxxxx which held. Never played it since, but it seems a popular game round here.

Nuts poker is okay for what it is, the prizes suck though as they can only pay £100 max per night. Suppose that's what you get with £5-6 buy ins lol.

The Nuts Regionals is a good event though. 10k starting stack and 30 minute blind levels starting at 25-50. Good prizepool too for a £10 freezeout, tends to get around 130-140 runners. I finished 2nd at the Edinburgh one not so long ago.

Anyone here play in any of the Scottish Amatuer events at Maybury recently?
