Negative, as latt said. I described this to a twin reg the other day and he said he thought he knew the couple and they always played together, but his description of them was off. I really don't even think they are a couple per se, I think the are friends/acquaintances.

Very distinct though, I'll pm you.

If two friends are HU and check it down how is that cheating (in a cash game of course)? Cheating is when an illegal action is taking for the purpose of monetary gain. Nobody else is in the hand with them......nobody is being cheated out of any money by two friends not playing agro at each other.

When two players get in a hand with a fish, and then after the fish folds the flop the player that flopped top two tells the other player they have it, is completely ok?

Some of you poker guys and your murky morals har...

That was not the scenario I was responding on. If there are signs of collusion than it is absolutely cheating. The post I quoted didn't include the information that you added.

How much traffic do we think there will be tonight into tomorrow with the snow storm? The one time I went during a snow storm it was quite busy late into the night since people didn't want to go out into the snow!

I predict it will be a regular Monday night plus. Snow is starting around midnight and I would guess it starts to clear out after that.

Someone in the FW thread also mentioned Foxwoods announcced they are closing at midnight through Wed at 10am I think it said.

Thanks for the info. Do you know when they will reopen or where I can find that out?

How differently do the 2/5 games at Twin play vs. the 1/2? Grinded the 1/2 last year, planning on moving up this summer when I get back from school.

Also curious if any of you New England guys have played at Manchester Poker Room in NH. Planning on making the hike for the 1/3 Big O game.

You should ask that in the New England thread, it'll get greater visibility.

2/5 generally tight passive. More pots end preflop and on the flop. Less multiway action. Bluffing can actually be worth it.

Why were the state police at the West entrance tonight at 7:30 p.m. with their blue light flashing? And then they were just standing around in the lobby. Did someone get arrested?

I realize it's already been confirmed, but still find it ridiculous that Omaha and PLO can not be, and will most likely never be, played at Twin. Makes very little sense. That game would surely be popular there.

Again as has been said many times it's due to state law. Word from a floor is that the casino has put into the state for approval to spread PLO. A 1/2/5 game would be so juicy.

Hey guys I've been mostly away from poker for about 3 years (I'm glad I remembered my password to here, I hadn't logged in to 2016... turns out I started this thread too lol) but am making my grand return tonight, and will do it at Twin River since I live ~30 minutes from there now.

It sounds like not much has changed in the general discussion of TR vs FW/Mohegan - the room is run more poorly, dealers make all kinds of mistakes and floors makes bad rulings, etc - but the competition is generally softer (at least at 2/5) - that sound about right?

Also, what food is worth eating there? I know they have no GREAT food options, but what are the least terrible?

Thanks!

The yankee dipper sandwich @ wicked good is pretty good. Its a pot roast sandwich. The floors people are about the same. However, the dealers have improved

Glad to hear the dealers have improved.

What will the wait for a 2/5 seat be tonight around 6pm?

Didn't have a bad floor ruling or dealer error this year. I think dealer's have gotten better about efficiently seating people when seats are open, or at least lists have been shorter thanks to the expansion. Long and short I think everything about this room is fine. Not great, but fine.

I arrived around 7:00 Thursday night and there was only about a dozen tables running, which didn't seem to change the whole time I was there (about 6 hours). It was 2 tables of 2/5, a table of 5/10, and then I guess most of the rest were 1/2 or maybe a few were limit holdem or stud. So I dunno how successful their expansion was because there was like 20 tables empty all night.

Luckily there was no list for 2/5; They called my name by the time I was back from the cage so I basically got the play right away.

You guys are right, the dealers are better - not necessarily FASTER (I had one guy who was SLOW AS MOLASSES EVERY TIME), but I didn't see any mistakes made the entire time I was there.

Luckily I ate at J's Deli on the way down so didn't even bother checking out the food options at the venue. Dunkins being close the poker room is pretty convenient, if the employee isn't doing god knows what in the back when you approach, you can get a coffee and be back in your chair before the hand you stepped away from is over.

The most tilting aspect of my night was the TERRIBAD 80's music they were playing the entire time, made worse when some players started singing/humming along to it. Around 12:20am it finally started playing modern pop music which isn't my favorite music by any stretch but its better than Maneater and the other 80s duds they were playing before then.

Overall, Foxwoods or Mohegan is certainly run better, with more tables to choose between and better food and dealers. But TR is so much closer it kinda wins out for me I think. We'll see how future sessions go.

"No easy way out" from the Rocky 4 soundtrack seems to play everytime I am there.

I've been told the bands don't get paid; they play for *tips and exposure* That makes me feel a little better about how ****ty they often are.
