No guarantee not to get robbed anywhere on earth.
Sure. Wouldn't you agree that between taking the valet and walking to my car on the other side of the parking lot at 3am, there are less chances to be robbed?!!

If you live nearby I suggest Uber. Rates in Rhode Island are some of the cheapest in the country. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes for pickup even at 4am on a weekday in a snow storm.

This has been not been my experience at all. Granted I typically play Thursday nights which tend to be busy. I've always had a long wait. In fact, last Thursday night I requested my car around 2:00am. There was only one valet working (and I have to give him credit - he wasn't wasting time) and took exactly 25:01 for the car to arrive - I know that it seems crazy but I literally timed it.

Make sure to tip the valet! I usually give at least $5

20+ on 2/5 wait list. 20+ on 5/T list.
And you see tables completely empty, with a dealer seated and doing nothing.
And I don't even count the number of open seats I see that were not filled. This is wonderful...

I went last night and was 14 and got sat in like 20 minutes. They then started a new table soon after. They are usually pretty good with that, truth be told. There are lulls, though.

Well, lucky you! I am back there this morning, I have been waiting for one hour, the list is still 15 ppl.. Even registered to several games, didn't make a difference. I like most dealers there. The floors are the worst. Every time you talk to them you feel you annoy the **** out of them!

I will agree I am not a big fan of the floor people, save for one guy.

Asking security to walk you to your car is also an option. Theres always a guard at the south entrance/exit who can escort you out or request that a guard report to the area to assist you.

I believe dealer shifts start at 10am and noon. If you can, plan your arrival accordingly to minimize your wait.

Wackiness from tonight:

-Dealer calls shuffler down and starts shuffling hands. Guy in 6 seat crawls under table and starts messing with shuffler. Comes up, gets his phone and fires up his flash, and goes back under. Floor finally shows up and is like WTF. Guy says "I was unplugging it and plugging it back in." Floor says 'Sir, you can not do that.' Then the guy under table says heyheyhoho you need to be nicer when you speak to me haha it was crazy.

It was 1/2. Here is another great story:

I was there in the day yesterday because a friend had some business to take care of down here and asked if I wanted to grab some lunch and poker for a few hours. While we were there there is a guy at a 2/5 table just hammered out of his mind and having a good time. Singing Madonna, yelling constantly, having loads of innocent fun with the female dealers, and most importantly splashing massive tips constantly.
After a while, the main floor attempts to CAP HIS TIPS at 10% of the pot, claiming that is a rule. Really couldn't believe what I was hearing, but thankfully cooler heads prevailed eventually.

Was at the table. Pretty ridiculous floor decision making that day. That guy should of been cut off and booted 5 minutes in. Floor was like, is he donating to the game? What happens when that guy gets in his car and kills somebody? Is it worth somebody being a spot in a game?

Was he wearing a bright yellow construction type looking jacket?

I have heard of the 10% of bet tip restriction...it's more common in table games than Poker.

No.

On a related note, that topic of discussion yesterday led to the revelation that someone tipped a dealer in the pits 60k last week and floor was in a tizzy about it.

Had this happen late night(12am) and it really pisses me off, but unfortunately there is not much you can do but outright call them cheaters, ruin the table atmosphere, and cause a big ruckus with the floor. And they are regs of course:

I've been at the table a short time. I am in 3 seat and these two clowns are in 8 and 9. A guy and a girl, I guess that is all I can describe here. I built a little loose image and am definitely on their radar.

Not long after, the guy raises to 12, girl calls and I pop it to 35 in SB with AK. Both call.
I play the flop and turn atrociously, but while they are playing out, these two both have their hands over their mouths off and on and are talking to each other. Not having a conversation, but they are definitely communicating during the hand. I donk river, guy crying calls, and girl crying-crying calls. Girl wins, guy says to her 'I knew what he had, I just didn't know what you had...'
After the hand I just keep staring at the guy and conveying my disapproval, and soon after they both take a walk together. Nice, that's nice.

They come back and soon after this hand comes up: He raises over a couple limpers to 12, she calls, around to me on the button with 45s and I call because I would like nothing more than to snap one or both of these clowns off.
Flop comes A J x complete whiff, he c bets 15, she calls, I fold.
Turn x, he is first to act and up go the girls hands in front of her mouth and she is 100% conveying something to him. I am across the ****ing table and I can see it plain as day.
He checks, she bets 3 stacks of 3 red chips and he folds.
She rolls over AJ to him and...on to the next hand I guess.

At this point I stare at the guy for a very long time, to the point where every time he looks away and then looks back I am still staring at him. He gets uncomfortable, as I am pretty sure he knows why I am doing this. I then do the same to the girl, and she gets even more uncomfortable.

And then they both rack up and leave shortly after. What do you do in this spot?

Call them out immediately?
Go all passive-aggressive like me?
Play better?

I just never like to kill table atmospheres, but I also hate cheaters more I think.

they cant be cheating if theyre betting and calling against each other. cheating is when a guy says "if u call, ill check it down". or when 2 guys check HU because theyre friends. if a group of 2 does any type of aggressive betting or raising its not dishonest.

How about OPTAH? Violating that - and it sure seems like they were - could in and of itself be deemed cheating. Plus, from the sounds of it their actions were entirely consistent with players who were pooling their $$ and thus acting as a team, which is cheating in anyone's book.

I would call them out directly or at least inform the floor, depends on my mood. That crap shouldn't be tolerated.
