If someone is currently in PVD, maybe you can ask a floor if they'd be willing to spread a HORSE game upon sufficient demand.

Are you needling me for not saying Lincoln or for using PVD as an abbreviation for Providence?

All my friends in PVD use that as an accepted shorthand, even out loud when it's the same number of syllables as Providence.

I am well aware of that, but they chose PVD as the airport code for the Providence airport because, and this might be surprising to some people, PVD stands for Providence.

Let's just settle our differences over a nice game of HORSE

TR dealers put me on massive tilt for reasons too massive to mention.

Yeah but that wasn't the information I was trying to convey. Of course if someone reading this thread is currently at TR, they'd he in the wat position I ask about horse. More likely someone is just in the providence area (whereas I am not) so can inquire for us.

TR dealers figuring out split pot games might be a bit problematic. Not to mention Razz/Stud/Stud8.

Agreed but the good ones can handle it. AND they already spread stud regularly.

The dealers for 2-5 Thursday night were god awful. One actually asked a player what he had when he mucked a hand after a large bet hahah. She actually put the deck down leaned back to take a look at the board and asked what he had lmao

They were so slow. Forgot to pull in calls. Worst I have seen since it opened.

Usually on 2/5 they are pretty darn good.

Just spoke to a floor person. They will NOT spread a HORSE game. Before I even mentioned it she actually said "ya I heard there was a nasty rumor going around on 2+2 about that". She said dealing games other than Hold 'Em and Stud are "Not in their regulations". Sorry folks the dream is dead

Rip the dream. Thanks for looking into it at least. <redacted> (who's been my favorite and generally the nicest floor) and at least one other floor told me it was a possibility, so someone should let them know. What the floor told you perhaps confirms what a reg told me about hold em and stud being the only ones permitted by law.

I assume the major problem is Omaha 8. I didn't think to ask if we excluded that if they would consider it since razz and stud 8 are dealt exactly like stud so it's isn't like the dealers would have to learn anything new. Obviously the players would control most of the game but that seems to happen much of the time anyway. I'll look into that, most likely Wednesday, and let everyone know how it turns out, assuming no one makes any inquiries about it before then

They refuse to spread PLO (which would bring gamblers to the property) why do you think they would consider HORSE?

Someone told me (unsubstantiated) that they couldn't spread Omaha for regulatory reasons. Maybe that's the hold up on PLO and FLO8.

I am pretty certain that they can spread higher stakes. I heard they had lists for higher stakes stud and limit hold em the first week or so but no one ever got on them so they gave up. But the same person who told me HORSE (so low credibility) was a possibility also said if I brought a gang of people to play 10/20 LHE, they'd spread it. I see absolutely no reason why they wouldn't spread it upon demand (more rake, get an empty table in use), but then again, logic doesn't always seem to apply in places like this.

Would people go for 10/20 LHE some time? 3/6 is just unbeatable, but I would like LHE practice. 5/10 limit stud is a fine stake -- I just like stud hi the least of any of the stud variants. Razz would be a big improvement.

I thought 5-10 LHE was spread, but talked with a couple floors yesterday and they said it has never gone, ended up playing 3-6. Dealers confirmed slow, all but one would be the worst dealer of the day at FW.

That's not true. While rare I've played 5-10 a few times, there just needs to be enough interest which there usually isn't. I'm sure they would spread any limit hold em game that got enough people who wanted to play it.

Is there anyway to check your point totals online? I know their 'rewards' are LOL, but, I'm just curious what I have. Thx

Only way that I am aware of is to ask a floor person in the room to check it for you. Would also like to know if their is a less cumbersome some way.

I would be interested in playing 5-10 lhe, or 5-10 stud

Anytime after 10pm is good for me, Monday and Wednesday I'm available all day

How about we get a list going and try to get a game off the floor
