I'm a big fan of the room. They are still going through growing pains and there are plenty of flaws, but there's tons of action and the waits aren't bad if you don't waltz in at 8pm on a Fri/Sat. =p
They honestly didn't know at the beginning if the room was going to stay. It was (and still is) in a trial period, but it's obviously been a smashing success so it's here to stay.
Their first order of business is run 24 hours. Personally speaking, this is the only thing stopping me from being there all the time. This is not a hard fix and they are aware of it. They will be hiring grave shift dealers soon so they can run round the clock.
Their next order of business is a much harder task of adding more than 16 tables. It was a huge ordeal to just get the first 16 tables running as every detail has to get approved by the State and that took nearly 2 years, so I'm not holding my breath on this one. You've got people waiting 4+ hours on weekends to get a seat. They are aware of it, but not sure they can actually do anything about it because of the State.
Any other issues are small for me. The comps, the no free wireless, that will improve. The no free alcohol I understand people being frustrated, but that's the tradeoff you get for having it be 18+ and I'm fine with it. The room has
tons of FW regs, but also lots of players I don't recognize. Not a coincidence most of the people I don't recognize appear to be younger than 21.
The dealers are a mixed bag, but it's a brand new room. The floor is quickly improving. First couple weeks no one had a clue, now they are mostly on top of it although there are still too many things they need to constantly keep up on. Players not being able to trade bills with each other is a stupid rule as it constantly holds up the dealer to sell chips and wait for floor to approve the amount. Also waiting for them to suit cards is brutal, especially in time games. There has to be a better way
Overall, I'm happy the room exists. As it stands, it's a much better room than I thought it would be out of the gate. There are plenty of flaws, but the staff cares and because of that it will only get better.
Happy New Year,
Magic Man
