FW is 4+1. TR is 5+0. Both 10% increments.

Confirmed on the signage in the room. Consensus of the staff is that if people are playing at 4 regularly, they'll go 24/7.
12 of the 16 tables were in use at ten pm. I heard at least 1/2 2/5 2/4lhe 5/10 stud going.

There was a list and a player trying to get it going. It hadn't been called yet when I left at 1030.

Poker dealers are currently pooling tips with the table games dealers. Hopefully this doesn't take as long to fix as foxwoods.

The quality of the dealing was actually a pleasant surprise for the first day. There's some time efficiency that will take a bit, at least at stud, but I saw no mistakes in 3 hours of play. They're all ready much better than the dealers at foxwoods in the pooling era.

The brushes need practice dealing with a full crowd, but what do you expect for day 1?

Can anyone confirm what Limit Hold Em Games are offered/running? 5/10 or 10/20 LHE would be nice.

2/4, 5/10, and i believe i saw 10/20 as well.

went down there tonight to check the place out, small and busy..dealers are pretty slow but from what i understand several dealers are from other pit games so they should improve with time.

just thankful ill never have to fight Boston traffic to play at the rock again. *cringe*

Is it still super busy? I'd like to stop in on Weds nights or weekends but there are so few tables and it sounds like some pretty long lists. Mostly interested in 1/2 and stud if it runs.

I got there just past midnight today and it took roughly two and a half hours to get a 1-2seat. Not sure if I'll ever want to wait that long again.

Report session:

Played for about 4 hours at 1/2. Dealers were, as expected, a mixed bag. Some good, some obviously still learning. But all were friendly and quick to correct mistakes they made.

The comp system is absurd and needs to be fixed. Floors have to keep track of every player's hours manually. If you change seats, the floor needs to notice it. If you don't check in with the floor on your way out, you won't get your points. With all this on their plate, they were slow to fill empty seats, which is inexcusable in a room where the wait for a seat is one to two hours. Seats should not be staying open for ten to fifteen minutes. I'd rather get no comps points but be seated more quickly.

The area was nice. Being in the no smoking section is a plus.

The biggest downside was there seemed to be few bad players. I guess the serious fish aren't going to wait 2 hours for a poker seat, they'll just go play blackjack instead. Hopefully things will settle down after the opening week, lines won't be so long and tables won't be so tough.

Thanks Mat. Did you happen to notice how many 2/5 were running and if a 5/10 was?

Comps at twin river are a joke anyway even if they did credit you properly for play without any hassles.

Nice to see a new room open up, but they really should be giving free adult drinks and a legit comp system if they want to compete with CT and eventually MA.

It's hard to justify saving a 30-60 minute drive to spend $10-$20+ on drinks in an evening and get a fraction of what you'd get from the CT casinos in comp credit.

I'll check it out but i'd imagine in the long run i'd probably rather travel farther to be treated right by a casino.
It would be cool if they offered sit n' gos if they don't have the space for tournaments.

It's obvious their goal isn't to "compete" with CT or they would have a room larger than 16 tables. With their location the room is always going to be full without the need to give free drinks or comps. Why would you give away free stuff without the need to do so? From a business perspective it's a no-brainer to not do this.

I played 1/2 for about 4 hours. Dealers were better than I expected, and the one time the floor was called, he made a fast and confident decision, basically saying "That's the decision and don't bother arguing with me because it's not changing."

Also on the plus side, the chairs are more comfortable than Foxwoods, but not as good as Mohegan, I only waited half an hour and it seemed like they filled open seats quickly even without two-way radios to communicate with the brush.

The negatives: 1. Tables seem a bit on the small size, so 10 handed was a little cramped; 2. Bathrooms are pretty far away; 3. Less than 1/2 hour at the table and one young guy pulled his hoodie to cover his mouth while tanking.

Maybe at 2 AM, but mid day on a Saturday you get stuck dodging meandering invalids with walkers.

Fyi, Massachusetts will not have free drinks. It's a violation of the happy hour laws. The legislators wouldn't make an exception.

Stinks that they aren't going to utilize the Bravo app as shift manager told me last week. It's Sunday night and opening an app that tells me if 2/5 or 5/10's are going along with a wait list would likely earn Twin River one additional customer tonight but I'm not going to drive 20 minutes blindly. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. If anyone from TR is reading this please reconsider.
