Can confirm all of this is accurate.

With Bally's recent (I think announced yesterday) purchase of rights to the World Series of Poker and the expansion of the Lincoln property (should be completed by late Fall 2022) I'm guessing that we should be optimistic for the return of poker in late 2022.

Ballys LV has nothing to do with Ballys Twin River Corp. Ceasars still owns Ballys LV and the WSOP

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bally's is owned by Caesars Entertainment. They did not purchase rights to the WSOP. Caesars just moved it to another property of theirs.

Also, the Bally's in Vegas is not included in any rights that Twin River acquired in purchasing the brand. I believe the deal is such that the Vegas Bally's is allowed to keep the name but stay under Caesars umbrella. They are a completely separate entity from Bally's Twin River, despite the name.

Ballys Twin River Holdings actually owns the Tropicana in Vegas. I'm predicting one day they rename the Trop LV to Ballys and Ceasars renames Ballys to the Horseshoe, maybe even before the next WSOP.

I've heard that rumor as well.

I hope they're right, but don't want to get my hopes up.

I also heard recently that Twin River was planning on opening a "new room" with "up to 50 tables" during the winter. "Bally's believes in poker". This was while I was playing at FW on Friday, coming from a former Encore dealer and a reg at FW. Seemed legit but who knows.

Yes, new poker room is part of the remodeling plan. Can’t speak as to number of tables.

Thanks for all your posts! Just curious if your source had provided any recent updates. Still hearing February? Bigger room? Tournaments? Getting sick of that drive up to NH….

RUMOR UPDATE: Visited this morning to do some investigative work on re-opening of poker (and play a little BJ!). Spoke to a few table game dealers and a floor person, one of which was a former poker dealer at Mohegan. Consensus was that poker was starting up again in February in the former area upstairs and when the expansion was complete table games would move to the new area and poker would then occupy the space downstairs in the back where the table games currently are. Please take all this info with a grain of salt but it seemed accurate and truthful so fingers crossed for the return poker soon!

Whats the smoking policy at TR ? I know smoking is prohibited in the poker area, but what about the rest of the casino ?

We stopped going there due to the smoke . Wondering if Covid had them change their policy .

Since reopening after Covid the entire facility is currently non-smoking. Hopefully forever !!

That's good news, from the source (kinda). I also heard from a dealer that TR was running a "poker training" session in January for dealers. Hoping this all adds up to an announcement in the next month or so!

all mentions of poker stripped from the website - but the careers section still says they are hiring poker dealers

no it's still there under table games

The remaining tables (including the Poker Room) are located within our smoke-free casino on the 2nd Floor, easily accessible from both the West or South entrances.

Good news bad news

Bad news it’s still closed. Good news is ballys has entered the poker room on poker atlas. So upgrade there and promise it should open again at some point

They’ve been on there for at least a year now —and listed as temporarily closed—but they were previously branded as Twin River. I guess we won’t know whether they’re actually using the live service until they start spreading games again, but for now I think the only change here is the name they’re using on the app.

I wonder if Poker Atlas updates their logo...or if Bally's did. if Bally's did maybe they will actually use it...supposedly we will find out in 19 days
