I played two weeks ago. Didn't arrive until 530 ish. Game had been going since around 930 am. Fizzled around 630. I ended up playing heads-up for several hours which ended up being fun, albeit a Rollercoaster ride!

I don’t know what it means for the future of poker at Twin River, but it looks like we have some news on the casino...

Encore is going to start screening people for temperatures over 100. I wonder if Twin will do something?

Twin Rivers is committed to player safety and will make sure at least half of the soap dispensers are full. Additionally, they will be asking the muggers in the parking lot to wear N95 masks and gloves.

The virus arrived there last week. After surveying the premises it quickly determined that Twin River was too dirty for them to operate so they moved on to MGM and Encore.

Like in 3 hours, or 27 hours? It's always a bit ambiguous when "midnight" is used since it's often used incorrectly.

I've heard that the tables in the poker room have been removed to make room for slots. Hopefully this is just a short term move.... until poker can be safely played with a full table.

I had heard from a couple of dealers, pre-covid, that the goal was for the room to be moved after the casino is expanded. Being that any expansion, to my knowledge, hasn't begun I sure hope we don't have to wait for them to break ground and expand before we get the tables back.

I heard through the grapevine that they'll be no poker until the end of the year, but that was before the resurgence of 'rona. Who knows?!

The resurgence is taking place in states that are recklessly opening up without taking proper precautions. The New England states are showing that you can open up responsibly, maybe not to the way we’d like to, but responsibly to continue to function as a society. What occurs in many of these southern and western states shouldn’t affect us so long as we continue to have measures in place to keep our numbers down.

Now open to the public from 10am to 3am daily. They have everything except craps, roulette, and poker

Has anyone been there lately, and if so, do they get omaha going? Can't find them on Bravo or PokerAtlas and trying to decide if its worth making the drive up. Thanks for any information!

Pretty sure poker is not running, and I'm also pretty sure that they never run omaha

No poker right now and very unlikely in the next couple months at least.

I went there a couple weeks ago because I had a bunch of chips at home and wanted to convert them back to cash. It's weird and creepy there, with everyone wearing masks, plexiglass everywhere, long lines to wait to have your temperature taken before going in, readers to scan your license on your way in and out, all while the same terribad 80's music is blasting.

I just went to the cage and left, but I did notice the entire second floor is completely closed off. No poker.

The entire building is smoke free now though.

It seemed to be almost entirely middle aged or older people there, with some packs of young dude bros here and there.

Thank you guys for all of the responses and useful observations - much appreciated! Hope you guys are all doing well.

I guess that means I’ll be driving to NH or elsewhere for some action, and I live in southern NYS :|

Just to add, even if they had poker going, there wouldn’t be Omaha. I’ve tried more times that I care to remember but they are adamant that they only spread hold em and 7 cars stud although the stud game rarely ever runs. You may get an inexperienced floor person who just assumes if you get enough people interested they will spread anything but someone will stop them. They claim they are only “licensed” to spread two games whatever that means. I’ve talked to the poker room manager about it.

a) Poker is not coming back for a while (I think there are slots inn place of the poker tables now)

b) Omaha is not allowed in RI. Only 7CS and HE in the regulations.

At Twin now, upstairs is open and there is a poker table with plexiglass dividers set up in the front of the poker room. Fingers crossed, power will be getting spread soon!
