Does Twin Rivers do any poker promotions on fridays or weekends (e.g., high hands, splash pots etc...)?

Last night late night there was a guy at a 2/5 table behind me sitting in the 1 seat that was being your typical drunk asshat: Talking ****, just being a general that guy. I turned around a couple times to watch, it was fairly constant. Nothing egregious, just being a tool.

Then after a couple hours there is a bigger commotion. I turn around and the guy is complaining because the floor just killed his hand in a HU 1K pot on the river because he was asking the other guy questions. Floor just says your hand is dead buddy.
Guy is fairly pissed and says "How can you do that? I can talk HU at Foxwoods, Mohegan, Vegas...everywhere. Are you telling me that this is the only place I have ever been to that you can't do that and you also kill my hand without so much as even a warning?" Floor says "Yup."

That seems kind of dumb on Twin River's part. It is also probably just used on people causing general trouble with their shenanigans. I'm sure they would never do such a thing to a reg, especially without a warning. Floor was douching it up pretty good too, as Twin floors often do. Not always...but often.

The floor at that casino is atrocious. Most incompetent staff I've ever seen. I used to gripe about the dealers when the room first opened, but they've made a lot of improvements. But the floor, the cage, the security guards, the valet - all terrible. Worst attitude, worst performance I've ever seen. Total trash.

I could not agree more. I freq hear stories that blow my mind. It’s been 3 years. How have they not improved?

I will say a couple (sort of) positive things about TR though. There is ONE floor guy (a longtime Mohegan guy) who is very good, the comps are only $1 an hour, but there is a 50/50 shot that you get comps for hours after you leave because the floor screws it up. Finally, you really can't beat the action (though never playing in NH, I can't speak for it). The action is just so good there. It has been a long time since you could sit at a 2-5 game at Foxwoods and be playing with at least 3 donks.

I would love it if they started to spread more stud, but otherwise it is a good place for action.

Oh, I forgot: you can also run upstairs (with a gasmask on) and parlay your poker winnings into a losing bet the Patriots to cover...actually, even on the moneyline.

I tried to make a wager and there're 40-50 people in line with two people working the windows..turned around and left

I know that this has been asked before, but is there an online resource to check TR betting lines? Any progress on this?

Saw a good one the other day:

College kid playing every hand at my table.
You can tell he has very little idea of rules/etiquette, but is just blasting.
He has 6 stacks of reds lined up in front of him, all 10-20 chips each.
River comes out and he instantly and very quickly grabs the two outermost stacks on each side and puts them in middle, then goes back for the next 2 outermost stacks and puts them in, then goes back for the last 2 stacks and puts them in.
This is him going all in. Never says a word.

Another player says to dealer "Isn't that a string bet?"
She replies "Only if a player says something..."

The hand plays on as is.

I’m not. But was there yesterday from 3pm to about 7. It was way more dead than I expected. Curious myself how busy it is today.

If you call the casino number and ask for the poker room, they'll tell you the wait lists. No call ins accepted but then at least you know. Be aware you may sometimes get the correct answer +10 if there's a must move as they leave the names on the board. I've even explicitly asked them if there's a must move, they say no, then there was when I got there, so just more TR incompetence, but still FYI in general.

Thanks! It was a chasers dream today! Watched a guy play every hand and snap my kk off. He eventually went broke but boy was it crazy to watch for a period of time. Very frustrating day.

Last night not one but two people immediately hit and ran the $5-$10 game. Usually when people hit and run they wait like 5 minutes or something before picking up. These guys immediately picked up while still pulling in chips, not even being dealt into the very next hand. Never seen anything like it.

This just in: people do what they want with their own money at a public cardroom. More at 11.

Anyone been in the sports book in the past few days? Curious what the super bowl odds are? And are they offering props?

I assume its still a minimum 30 minute wait to place a bet.

Same. Is there somewhere we can go online to see the odds for their sports book?
