Thanks to those who came out this past weekend. The $50K tournaments continue to grow and we had 325 entrants for the $50K this past weekend. The July Tournament is a go! $25 buy-in for $25K Guarantee. Should be fun!!!
Thanks Frankie, I looked on the website and didn't see anything on tournament in July. Any ideas on the dates?

They are running their 25k BBJ promotion again today where they lower the qualifier every hour until it hits.

I will be in the area this weekend. Is there any difference between the games offered at Turning Stone vs Del Lago? Turning Stone is on Bravo, so I can see they offer 1-2 and 2-5 but can't tell the buyins.

1-2 at TS is 50-200 buy in and 2/5 200-500 last I knew. Del Lago has 1/3 max buy in 300 ( I forget the min) and you can buy up to the biggest stack at the table. 2/5 at lago max buy in to start is 1000 with the same buy in to the biggest stack. Turning stone might have 20/40 limit going on the weekend as well if you like that.

Last time I played 1-2 at TS they allowed buy to biggest stack as well. Or at least I was asked if I wanted to buy to the biggest stack when I got to my table.

Also they have their 25k for $25 Day 1 flights going on all weekend, so side action should be more than normal.

That tables must have voted to allow it. Almost any table will refuse such things at TS, very nitty cash games unless a big tournament is going

We will accommodate a table that requests to buy to the biggest stack as long as everyone at the table in is in agreement. I will say that its more like a 60/40split for tables that agree to those that don't than it being all or most of the time.

Frankie, can you tell me if you are in the money if you make it to day two automatically for the 25k guarantee?

Hi Wrap, sorry, was away the last 2 days...anyone who played in any of the Flights and was "bagged up" is automatically in Day 2!

Any word on what the prize pool ended up being for the June monthly tournament standings? I heard it still hasn't been paid out yet due to some kind of computer issue.

Hi Arch, IT has been working on the system issue. It is not part of the Bravo system, its freestanding and has its own servers.. All the data is in there and has double backup for accuracy. As soon as the issue is reconciled, payouts will be forthcoming once the standings are extracted.

Hi ned, what's not to understand mate?

1)Some assume the leader board is part of the Bravo system and its not as it has its own servers.
2) The system itself has servers and backup servers to store info so all information is saved and accurate.
3) As soon as our IT department reconciles the issue, the payouts for the leaders will be forthcoming once the data is extracted from the system.

I try to also answer any possible new questions that may arise from my responses as well as the original question asked. It tends to save time and reduces the chance of the poster having to ask any new questions after reading my response...at least in most cases.

I could have just said "the system is down and as soon as its fixed we will pay the leaders". The new questions posted would have been...

A)Bravo is still working, isn't it part of the Bravo system?...
B) If the system is down, will all the correct information be available to determine the leaders?...
C)When can we expect the board to be fixed and get our payouts?

So, to save time, I addressed the new possible questions in my original answer! Thanks!

Hi Arch, the system has been fixed! The total prize pool payout for the June Tournaments point standings is $3,980. Payouts are now available in the poker room. Thanks to all for your patience during the system issue!

I finally see a good tourney coming up in August.. it will be nice to not have to drive 2+ hours to play one with a decent prize pool for once.

Really wish TS would at least for this series run a few more one day tournaments during the week with a smaller guarantee. Something different anyways as it always seems to be the same events running. The 50k can meet the guarantee just by one having one day one flight and day 2 on Sunday.

Just because it's a 50k guarantee doesn't mean they don't want it to hit 75k+

True... but it also means it won’t be as big as it could be.

I don’t remember the last time TS didn’t hit a guarantee. August use to be there big tourney 200-250k gtd.

I think if they upped it, they would still make it. However, there are a ton of good tourneys in August (playground and foxwoods) I get the concern. But I say try to fight back and up it and see what happens w the turnout. I use to love going to the August series. But it’s kinda hard to pass on approx $250 for a ~760k gtd in Canada around the same time.

May wind up swinging up anyways. Goodluck to anyone who plays!

True, I would just like to see something different. Plus I think they would hit 75k+ with just one day one and day 2 the following day.

Hi Guys, thanks for the feedback, I have addressed this once before but ill give it another shot. The number of tables and dealers you would need to pull off a 1 day flight along with staffing the poker room is not feasible. Licensing in NY is property specific which means anyone working (dealing) at one property can not work at another property.

An event like that is easy to do in NJ. Licensing is not property specific. In NJ, a property can hire Poker dealers from other properties just for the day or weekend to meet their additional staffing needs. That's against regulations here in NY.

Consider also the fact that other properties are also holding tournament events at the same time which cuts down on the number of people having to travel to play here when they can play closer to home! Finally, the $50K'S have been asked for and been very successful with our guests from both price point and attendance. Each event has shown growth over the previous one.

Just a note: In addition to the $50K there is a $100K guarantee the following weekend. Thanks guys, hope to see you all here during the Empire State Hold-em Championships!

Any shot on the price of a 50k ($260) and the 100k gtd?

I feel like that’s super solid value and will bring in tons.

Are they planning to run the $25k BBJ promotion again when it gets up to that level? Will that be the norm from now on? Lots of action on that day!
