For the 1k, you could easily just get rid of the level and play only 16 levels day 1, or play 3 50 minute levels to end the night (and still save 10 minutes).
Hi Billy, we are definitely aware of all the good points you make in your post and we as a staff always go round and round about such changes. Then we always weigh the changes against the popularity of the event and the structures that are in place. There is more that goes into structure levels than simply deciding to leave it in or take it out. In addition to the technical aspect, we take into account staffing of our support departments ( cage, security, surveillance, EVS, F&B, Event Center ) as well as our own poker staff that is split to cover 2 venues ( the poker room and the Event Center ) which are in separate areas of the building. After all that, there is the matter of changing the structure of the tournament by petitioning the gaming commission ( required ) and then waiting for the approvals.
While it may seem absurd to have a particular level, there are many other guests who enjoy the event just the way it is and in the end that's whats most important. You may be correct that the level is not needed, levels have been removed in the past for the reasons you stated. Should the time come when the majority of guests are looking for changes to the level structure, we will be more than happy to adjust to accommodate! Thanks Billy, hope to see you in August!!!
