Its generally low limit in terms of games. During the ESHC they had some fairly high games going but in general there is not too much. This week should be some decent action with some more choices then normal. Not sure if theyre running anything special in the poker room.

As far as limit goes there, are the games soft? And is alcohol served to 18+? Or 21+?

Nothing special this week only one 2-5 table with a must move. 21+

Looks like I'll be taking my 18 yr. old nephew up here for his first casino trip on Jan. 22.

What games are typically spread on a Saturday night?

Thanks in advance!

I'll be there on fri-sat for the winter meltdown or whatever.

The rake on live tourneys is awful.

Depends what he plays. They have 2/4 limit. 1/2 NL and 2/5 NL. and will have a tournament. They dont really seem to ever run SNG's. I've only been there a few times, taking someone up also.

They will have a 2/4 3/6 and 20/40 limit. Also 1-2 2-5 and 5-10 nl. The sunday tourneys is usually a pretty good one, but a poster before said it correctly. The rake for tourneys is pretty ridiculous. Gl sir.

They charge a $2 dollar daily fee for the poker room which is a joke.

Do they still run a 20-40 limit (or 10-20 limit) game on the weekends? If so, what time?

Unless things have changed in the last month or so 20 40 is going most Friday and saturdays starting late afternoon and running fairly late into the night. Some nights it gets kicked up to 30 60 but that's fairly rare.

There hasn't been a 10 20 game in a long time. In general it's 2 4 or 20 40 as far as limit goes

I'm not up there often enough as i once was, so I'm not sure about the 20-40. the last two saturdays i was there ( which was about a month apart), i only saw it go off once. I'm too busy trying to get a stud game going to notice though. :-P

Won a seat to Event 17 of the East Coast Poker Championships $350 buyin 100k guaranteed.

I've never played a live tourney before and basically suck at them online. I imagine the 250 seats given away will help the amount of fish in the field but how tough is this series?

thinking about heading to the ts next month. what games are currently available. any non hold 'em games?

I have a question regarding the 10/20, $2000 max buy-in that runs sometimes: I have seen guys on that table with true forts of chips. I am talking pyramids that are about 10 stacks of $100 in redbirds in the back row. Do they ever color up to greens or blacks?

To clarify, when this game runs, I have seen multiple players with massive amounts of red chips on the table. Do they ever exchange some of those reds for greens or blacks? I can't imagine every time I want to raise having to put out 1 stack of reds, or God forbid I want to 3-bet and make it like $250. What is it like pulling in a big pot? It must take a very long time to stack those chips.

Let me know if I'm not seeing something or not fully comprehending something.

Since all this online drama, I have been considering playing more live poker at Turning Stone.

If any players from the Albany area go there often or want to go there often.

Send me a pm so we can carpool or something.

pretty sure the table you're talking about is a LIMIT table, 20/40 or 30/60. they tend to only use red chips on these big limit tables. For the big NL games ($1000 max or higher), you'll see green and black chips in play

That would be the 20/40 Limit Game. The biggest NL game Is 1000 buy in 5/5 blinds, and best case that game will run maybe one night Fri. or Sat. During the week you will get maybe two 500nl 2/5 games but not till later in the day. Plenty of 200 nl games
