Thinking about making a trip down to TS (I've never been, but it's only a 2.5hr drive apparently).
Couple of questions:
is there anywhere on site I can exchange CDN cash, or should I just suck up the bank rate before I go?
Do they spread PLO? If so, what stakes and how often does it run?

I can't remember ifthe exchange Canadian or what the rate is if they do. I'd just suck it up though. Sucks but just be safe.

They have PLO tournaments. And they OFFER PLO cash games but it rarely runs. Not sure how the PLO weeklies are though.

Scratch that they offer limit Omaha not PLO

How is the fall DeepStack series? Also, what's the cheapest way to go about getting a room there, or in the area, for a few days?

Hello I am a regular from Syracuse. Alot has been going on at Turning Stone in last few months. Mike is no longer the TD he is the night time shift manager (congrats mike) as I have told you in person. I know everyone that works there and have heard many things.

1 Is there is a new weekly tournament schedule coming out Monday Levels added and 20 min blinds after certain level think its 10 and they lowered antes making for more play.

2 Cash games seem to be priority as they should be cash promotions seem like an everyday think basically from cars to lots of cash.

3 They open up games now. Night staff pushes games open and lets players play what they want to play.

4 Thank God they eased up on the texting rule at table (Best thing for Sure)

5 PLO is coming I saw Mike teaching dealers last weekend and |I asked him he said there is a plo tournament on sundays at 2 and should lead to bigger tournaments.

6 Being friends with a lot of dealers by being a degen there 5 times a week you hear stuff. Turning Stone seems to have changed and are getting what the players want now if poker card could just go away(lol).

Its my local casino and I am biased. I know its not big time player draw but I see the changes. Players are noticing the friendly attitude it is all about the players wants and needs now. Guys there trying all I can say. And its you will notice.

Mike not being TD is very bad for TS and I didnt think ts could get any worse but they just keep finding a way. This next schedule looks awful with no guarantees or anything.

This. Seems like a far cry from their usual tournament series. It actually looked as if more thought was put into those cash giveaways that were in the upper part of the ad that I saw...

I agree it looks like cash games are the focus of this series. Its not a bad thing since I play cash. If you have not been in the poker room in awhile its definately a happier atmosphere. The staff is opening games that players want to play 50/100 has ran several times when I was there.

In theory, Turning Stone may be spreading PLO now as well. I've gotten conflicting reports from various poker room managers there. One said PLO gets off on Saturdays only, the other said he's never seen it running.

I do know that they are spreading PLO tournaments on Sundays now, so maybe there will be PLO cash games after them.

They've never spread pot limit games previously, because the dealers weren't trained to do it (so I'm told). Apparently that's changed now. Anyone else confirm/report?

How long does it take to get from Rochester to Turning Stone?
If you had the choice between TS or Seneca on a Tuesday night... which one is better for poker?

Turning stone is slightly further then Seneca. Being from Rochester as well, Turning Stone is worth the drive IMO.

I went there and all they had was 2-5. The game was kinda juicy and many asians, but I perfer 5-10 or 10-20. Do you know how long it takes to get from Rochester to Fallsview? Do you have to go into a building for customs or do you just drive through?

google maps says 1.5 hrs.
you only go into the building if you're a drug dealer or a poker player, otherwise you just drive through.

Going to turning stone tomorrow through Saturday with the girl. Playing in that 1k gtd $10 college tournament for ****s and gigs on Thursday night. Anyone else planning on going there? Or playing that tournament specifically?

Anyone playing in the winter meltdown next week?

I got some time off work so I wanna get up here next week. Will there be tables of 200 or 500 running at all times weekdays? I want to play all day and night tues and wed.
