Hey Frankie a few quick questions. I’m trying to take advantage of the rakeback monthly promo. I’m a new cash game grinder and just wondering if I can go up
To the main desk to check # of hrs I played? Also if I leave table to get lunch, bathroom etc does this go against my time played?

I played tonight (Friday night) and the room was doing well for a pretty meh weather day. I give you guys props for the promos you offer. The high hands along with the rakeback are great promos in my opinion to help create more buzz in the room.

Sorry about the 1-2 comments about the max also. I compare tstone to ac where 300 buyins are the norm. After visiting for a night I see how 200’max is more viable for the clientele. I’ll say hi next time I’m there. Just wanna say I really like the high hand promos etc.

I’ll be in for the Veterans Day high hand.im a big fan when you guys do high hands with short time spans. I think it would be awesome if you cut some of the hourly high hands down to 20-30 min as you give money to more players even if it’s for a lower amount. Call me crazy but I feel giving out say 100-200 dollars to more people is better than say 300-500 to less. Just my thoughts. Def think the promos tstone are running are top notch.

Finally I’m a big fan of the structure of the 570 tstone is running as the main for the thanksgiving weekend tournament. I almost wanna say I wish you guys would change the 250s to a quicker structure early with longer levels for when the tourny is important. Can’t complain though bc the 250 has a solid structure also. I’m just s big fan of super long levels when stacks are very shallow and the play means a lot.

Hi Jk, you can absolutely check your hours, just see the supervisor at the back desk and they will let you know where you stand. We do have the Bravo System so yes, time away from the game is taken into consideration as Bravo tracks time that guests are on and off the game.
Appreciate the excitement about the promos and yes we will be doing more of the 20 min and 30 min variety going forward. As far as the 200 buy-in stuff... its water under the bridge and no issue...good dialogue fixes everything!!! Hope to see you tmrw!....Frankie

I really like the high hand promo tstone is running December 15-16. Just wanna say the cash game promos lately are awesome. I’ll never skip these sort of promos if I’m in the area and just wanna say keep it up Franky.

I think they are great for really creating a lot of great cash games and really bring in a lot of people to the room. Also I just started grinding a lot of hours due to the rakeback promo turning stone is running monthly. Def just wanna say keep up the work with the great promos. Def A+ promos in my opinion.

Hey guys. Just a dumb 2/4 player here that usually breaks even or makes enough to pay for gas. That rule where anyone can see a players cards if they call the river seems really dumb to me. That's some annoying ****. I understand the reasoning (to deter collusion). It just seems disrespectful and not in the spirit of the game honestly. Does foxwoods or other places allow that? I was just wondering.

Standard rule. One certain class of player (you pinpointed it, the disrespectful a-hole) tends to abuse it. To combat that, in most rooms, the floor can usually be asked to intervene if someone is abusing it.

Just to chime in, for what it's worth. I would be a bit patient "in general" with people who ask, simply because 2-4 is a gateway to limit hold'm where there are beginners abound. Prudent players will ask now and then as part of the learning experience (I certainly did years and years ago). I'm not even sure if it's to deter collusion, frankly. How does one distinguish between collusion/bluff/incompetent play at 2-4? I've always looked at is as a means of improving one's game. If you pay to see a river, you have a right to see what your opponent had. Part of learning the game and how your opponents play in various circumstances. I don't take it personally when someone asks to see my hand.

What happens to pokertickets.com? I live out of town and would use them often to book my seat ahead of time.

Hey Frankie, just a suggestion but any chance you would look at getting rid of 25 chips from bigger tournaments? Just a suggestion but I’ve played borgata recently and they changed to no 25s in starting stacks and just adjusted the structure.

It seems to be a lot less clunky. Also not sure why players need to make bets in 25 chip value increments. Starting at 100-100 and just going to 100-100 (w a big blind ante) seems to really make the early stages easier for dealers etc. no 25 chip color up, etc.

Just a suggestion but it seems really effective.

Sorry, the old men prefer having more chips.

The logic behind that statement is stupid. If the change is made, it’s not like they are going to stop coming to turning stone to play. Even when I hear people sometimes complain about big blind antes... I played the WSOP Circuit event at Harrah’s AC this past weekend and the tourny I played had antes in the structure. I can’t explain how tilting it was to have antes collected every hand by the dealer.

If they want more chips, 2k in blacks could be distributed to each player for god sakes. 25s are so pointless. It’s also comical when players raise to stupid amounts such as 125 or 175. So pointless and just a bigger hassle for the dealer. Trust me..... getting rid of the 25 chips in mtts would be a great thing. They are pointless and a waste of space on the table. Just get rid of 25s and update the structure. All that would need to be done is add a 100-100 level to start, going to 100-100 with a bb ante of 100. I feel keeping 25s is really a waste of time and getting rid of them could kill the color up of 25s which would be a great thing for dealers and staff. Just my thoughts.

I also know this will be hated on but why not just run single day tournaments at turning stone? I feel the current 50k guarantees are so meh. Run a tournament on Saturday and Sunday and have a 25k guarantee on each day. I think it’s stupid that a player can play multiple flights and not bag.... and they are penalized for that by not being able to play Sunday (lets be honest buying in on Sunday is super -ev and pointless). I know the current tourny scheme at tstone is solid but I really feel single day events are better.

Solid players can fire billets at these events which really isn’t good for the recreational player. Why not just throw in 2 single day events on a Saturday and Sunday? I feel the turnout of single day events would be great and probably would easily hit 150-300 runners each day if they did big tournaments one weekend a month. Just my thiughts as someone that doesn’t want to have to fire bullets into the same event multiple times.

Look at what borgata does with their deepstacks series. They run solid structure events that run 1 day. Give players heaps of chips early (30k-40k), make levels 25-30 min and the tourny will finish in one day. It’s pointless to make people need to play a flight on Saturday/ Friday and then come back for Sunday if that’s not how they want to spend a weekend. I know I’ll be ostracized for staying these facts but as a tourny player.... I really think some change needs to be made for the current tournaments at turning stone.

It’s pretty bad when I find going to Parx or AC more enjoyable than a 45 min ride to turning stone for an mtt (I’m from Syracuse).I def feel the structures are good and the main ideas are solid at turning stone but I feel more quantity of tournaments would be nice. I think it’s better for the poker economy if 2 different people win 7-8k vs 1 person winning 16k in a tournament. Just my thoughts. I’ll continue to play mtts at turning stone however I think some change to the current mtts there would be nice.

Hi JK, yes we have been looking into changing over. I do prefer starting with 100 - 100 but we shall see how it plays out. Stay tuned!

I know its a business decision and the current trend with multiple entry and such, but this is one of the reasons I shy away from the bigger tourneys. I'm only going to have 1 bullet and feel like I can't compete against people who are going to fire so many times.

Only freezeouts are on weekdays, which isn't conducive to my work/home balance. Kind of wish there could be a small weekend one entry on the bigger weekends.

Also - has the $25 BBJ been estimated as far as a date yet?

No high hand Sunday because of the BBJ. Pretty lame.

That is incorrect. We have a $250 HH every hour today (Sunday). We even added a larger backup HH of $250 every half hour to run in case the BBJ hit prior to the promo running today. Had you checked Bravo or the website you would have saw that we do have High Hands today. Please have all your facts straight before posting...irresponsible and incorrect posts have no place on 2+2 Thank you!

It wasn't very clear from this post to me that if the bbj hit, high hands would be every HALF hour (INSTEAD of every hour). It didn't sound like there was any HH promo unless the bbj hit.

Hi TG,
Unfortunately, interpretations are going to happen. That is why we ask guests to check the website, Bravo poker or call the room for complete details. There are some details/promotions I cannot put on Bravo unless asked about directly, such as the original direct question asked about the BBJ promotion. I was able to mention the promo we had to go in place of the BBJ if it hit because it was in part a continued response to the direct question asked about the BBJ.
I cannot advertise in here that I am holding promos or details of normally scheduled High Hands on a particular day without being directly asked first. I respond in here all the time. Had you asked in your post if we were going to have the High Hands along with the BBJ instead of stating in post that we were not having High Hands, I would have and could have answered you that yes we were. If you would like to continue this discussion please contact me in the poker room at 315 361 8676. Thanks Tommy!

Ah, makes sense about the advertising on here, I was not aware of that.

I certainly would never intentionally give incorrect info, I didn't realize the importance of a question mark in the situation, lol.

Any reason why the GTDS continued to get lowered despite not overlaying?

I can’t figure it out.

$250 100k or even 75k gtd is much more attractive than a 50k
