Went on a quick overnighter to the Horseshoe. Brief TR:

Hotel: room was dirty, food crumbs on the floor, deadbolt broken and top security lock missing. Otherwise ok (bed, shower, TV, etc.) but pretty run down overall. Middle elevator about took my foot off closing way too quickly.

Food: Quality and service at JB's Cafe pretty shoddy. Wanted to get a quick bite at the 8 oz Burger Bar but turned around when I saw piles of trash everywhere.

Games: Obv no poker, 3-handed tables with masks, long wait, and wife and I played some slots but they were super tight and we lost quicker than ever before so rewards will be few from this trip.

Entertainment: None

Customer Service: Spotty at best. A couple of nice ones but most attendants/clerks were cold and impersonal. Needed more drink servers and fewer COVID cleaners.

COVID response: High marks on this, they were pretty diligent on sanitizing surfaces and had plenty of attendants cleaning machines and tables. Masks at tables.

Overall: D+ at best, and a hard F if I include how quickly we lost our trip roll. Haven't been to Tunica since 2014 but it's gone way downhill. I would've thought with a few months off it would've been cleaner and friendlier but it was pretty dingy. Will not return to this location.

Interesting maybe a trip for some 20 hold em could be in my future.

It was mostly naming/describing a bunch of players/dealers. You can't do that in this forum, we have privacy guidelines.

Lattimer, I apologize for making a post using peoples real names, etc... I shouldn't have done that. Feel free to delete this one if it doesn't meet 2+2's guidelines, and I will not re-post. Thank you.

Sorry, can't do that either. You're identifying people. If people reading your post know who you're talking about, you can't post it. Everyone is to be anonymous, even in a second-hand setting.

It's no a big deal, we don't punish posters for it. But we do need to delete it.

I respect your rules, but I made everything very generic and non specific. I honestly don't think I was giving out any identifiable information in the updated post. Having said that, I will drop it. Thank you.

Played this weekend for the first time since February. All tables are 5 handed, masks required, hand sanitizer when you sit down. Overall felt pretty safe all things considered so I'll probably make a return trip soon. Due to tables being 5 handed you can only walk 10 minutes before they pick you up and they were pretty diligent about it.

This makes getting any food very difficult as you can't eat at the tables anymore. Hell you barely have time to head to the bathroom and come back. They are allowing a 1 hour meal break and then upon return you go to the top of the list. For 1/3 players no big deal but it took me 3 hours to get a seat in the 2/5 game when I was 1st. Not exactly practical to take a meal break and expect to get a seat quickly. Therefore I'd like to see tables be 6 handed with one person allowed to go on a meal break per table.

What's the turnout on the weekends like these days? Haven't paid it any attention, but should be getting a vaccine soon so I might start going back. Just wondering if there has been enough action to get the 2/5 or even 5/T game running full ring.

I'm in the same boat, but had my shots and am about a week away from playing live again.

Checking Bravo frequently, I see the room looks fairly active, and there are regular tournaments, so that looks good. Anyone know if any larger tourney events are scheduled soon?

I was over a couple weeks ago on Sunday evening it was busier than I figured it would be. I think 3 tables of 1/3 stayed full and a limit game and tourney going too. There might have been a 2/5 going too

Planning a trip to Horseshoe soon to stay a night or two and play in a few tournaments. How are the tourneys there looking these days?

We were there in May. The noon $65 tournament didn't go off the day we were going to play it (Thursday), and I think we heard it didn't go Wed either. They were having a dealer shortage was the issue.

We played the Wed evening $75 NLHE, Thu evening $100 bonus bounty (all bounties are $25, they draw a seat at the end of each of the first four levels and give that player $50 and add an extra $50 bounty on them), Fri evening $30 with $20 rebuys and $40 addons, and Sat noon $165.

They all had decent numbers, structures as you would expect for the price point, and beyond soft fields. It was fun to play an old school rebuys and add-on tourney rather than a new school re-entry format.

Yes bump. Can any locals give updates about the casino or the games recently? Seeing alot of bad reviews online from recently. Regarding the rooms, and food/service.

Trying to gather some recent info. Before deciding on coming out for WSOPC.

I went there to play cash for WSOPC - games were pretty good, but wonder about the non-tourney days there - checking Bravo seeing like 10 tables on Saturday night - was more like 13 or so prepandemic.

The buffet there has been closed too and the Chinese place was down to a limited menu - really looked run down overall. I don't know if it will bounce back or if it's on the way out.

Just an fyi I got a plethora of comped room options (mostly M-TH) at Horseshoe this summer so I'm taking advantage and going to play in some tourneys. I am a Caesar's Rewards member but honestly don't have a lot of action in their properties so I was surprised. If you're a CR patron it's likely they'll be there for you also.

Not aware of a summer series but we had to go on certain dates so I'll just play the dailies.
