Wraith,
HS is pretty active with tables. They run limit and stud too. On the weekends expect HS and GS to fill up. Sam's Town has little action. Best tournaments are the HS $160 on Saturday at 7pm and Sam's Town $100 something at 11 am also on Sat.

Ty,
Sam's $35
GS $35
HS $45
IIRC for weekdays. Sam's is pretty basic tho. Free wi-fi at the GS, but it's slow. HS has the mini-fridges if that matter's Haha. Try to play for 5 hrs at a time for a free meal/buffet. Tip $5 for a meal when you're at the tables and when you ask a manager to put a comp on your card for a restaurant.

Are there any ways I can get "first time player comps?" What about if they know im going to be in the poker rooms?

Does anyone know how to go about doing this? I live in NW Arkansas and usually just drive into Oklahoma to play at the Indian casinos, but I'd like to make a couple day stay at Tunica if I can get a deal... but I dont have comps.

Just call the poker room (Horseshoe, Harrahs, Goldstrike or Sams Town) and ask for a poker room rate. They will book you a room with the poker room rate then just play at least 5 hours a day.

Anyone running any Omaha games in Tunica?

Friday night at the Shoe was a zoo. More tables running than I've seen in a while. Later in the evening they started a 2/5 PLO table and there was nearly enough on the list for another table. Seems there was also the usual 4/8 limit Omaha going as well, but wouldn't swear to it.

I really need to make it out to Tunica from Nashville. Supposedly a 4 hour drive and I haven't had 2 days in a row off from work in a while, which I would really need for the length of trip. What are the max-rakes at Shoe and GS?

Not sure about GS, but the Shoe is 10% $4 max +$1 BBJ drop. Strike is probably about the same.

Wow that's awesome, I've been really really wanting some PLO action, such a fun game and such an easy game for fish to love yet make huge huge mistakes. I haven't heard of a game in a while, around what time in the night was this? I'm thinking of coming up this weekend and I'm definitely gonna request a PLO game.

2/5 PLO must play huge, what is the max buy-in for that game? Do they ever play 1/2 PLO?

I'm pretty sure there is no max at 2/5 and above at the Horseshoe, I may be wrong though, it may be $500. This friday I think a few of my friends are going to play the $65 tournament at the shoe while I play some cash games, should be fun.

2/5 NLHE is uncapped, at least it used to be. That is a bit above my bankroll and haven't checked in a while. 2/5 PLO is probably the same.

Thanks Tex, I figured that, but since I haven't played anywhere else, I could not swear to it.

I was in the PLO game Friday at the shoe. The table started as a regular
2/5 nl game then we voted and we switched it to a mixed game then later we voted again after another 2/5 nl game started and it became just a 2/5 PLO game. Lots of action with deep stacks

The game was uncapped, and yes it was pretty deep. As far as 1/2 PLO goes, if there is enough interest they will spread pretty much any game.

Goldstrike and Horseshoe tell me they have rooms available and the hotels are open this weekend. The GS did say that the rooms are limited and that you have to have a players card with play history to get a room. Don't know where you heard that they are not opening the hotels until Monday.

Horseshoe has way more action than anywhere else, but alot of decent regs as well. Goldstrike has the best room deals for players usually.

Horseshoe also has the worst dealers that are absolutely the rudest I've ever seen at a casino and worst run tournaments in Tunica...I've tried playing there on 4 different occasions, and its always the same...I've always made money there but will never play there again.

At first they said rooms would be open Monday but then they opened them Friday on a limited basis.
