I'm moving back to the area very soon. I am curious on how the play is here now and just maybe some info. It has been awhile since i have played here. thanks

Nastiest casino I've ever entered. (and I've been in many) Poker room is a missed gutshot draw at best. Place is grimy and smells bad. Dealers are atrocious. On the good side, the games are quite soft, if a little on the nitty side. Personally, I'd drive the two hours to play at the CET property across the river from Louisville and forget about that boat in Evansville.

Yea I've played a lot at horseshoe too. I'm mainly curious as to how the games are and if they are still soft that's great. As far as the room itself I remember it being pretty run down but I've played in worse.

The game plays real good you will see the regulars there most of the time. I didn't sit in but watched it till I got a 1-3 seat. It seemed to be a good game

Does anyone have any recent updates on the Tropicana Evansville poker room? I don't know if it's worth the drive up from Nashville on a Saturday night to play $1/$3 or not.

I do know that the casino is finally going to land. Hopefully that will improve everything.

I guess it depends on where you live and how much room rates are. I'm from Evansville originally and it's much easier and less expensive to play Evansville and stay for free at my parents house than to drive to the other places.

One big plus to me for Evansville over Southern Horseshoe is that Evansville is $1/$3 and Southern is $1/$2. I don't know if it's the rake or deeper stacks but I seem to do better and make more money at $1/$3.
