They don't have 2/5 anymore in Brisbane. I have to play in goldcoast.

Is the 2/4 really that much different than the 2/5? It has been playing pretty large last few times I've played.

There are 5/5 everyday in GC.

Haven't been for ages. Anyone able to provide what limits and games are playing these days? Are games running all the time?

1/3 Turbo NL $50-200 buyin 10% capped @ $13
2/4 NL $100-400 buyin 10% capped @ $13
5/5 NL $300-700 buyin 5% capped @ $20

2/4 PLO $100- 400 buyin 5% capped @$20

(rake for PLO might be now 10% capped @ $13)

Games (usually 2/4 NLHE kicks off) start at 10 am. Usually run through the night with demand, but they have been closing early sometimes because their casual staff dealers haven't been fronting.

Plenty of fly in/out miners around in the early hours of the weekends. Soft compared to Syd/Melb but certainly getting tougher.

and bigger NLHE and PLO games do start up but they are more the exception than the rule.

In Sweden I was a regular at 10/10SEK which is like 1$/2$.

How soft is Treasury Casino? What day is the best day to go there? Any rules that I should be aware of or something like that?

Fri & Sat nights are the best. Might be the "softest" for you.

Rule peculiarities will come out if Lee is on your table. He is pedantic cubed about obscure rules, whether he is in the hand or not, and slows the game down incredibly with his "points of order". Others will tell you more.

You will be fine on 1/3. Better players like 2/4 and above.

Hey Velocity. Yeah I get around.....life, like poker, is a bit diverse. But unfortunately I travel under the radar. Survivalism. Multi-layered reasons. So sorry my poker playing world is completely separate from conversion in here. And you'd have trouble spotting me too....I cover my tracks.

My poker dialogue outlet is more through 2+2 and other forums. Feel free to PM me though. Not being intentionally rude, but there are other agendas/issues/constraints in the poker environment and I keep a very low profile. Lizard like.

Been here a few times now! Mostly played 2/4$ and its been incredible soft! I was there Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week and sick value all of the days.

Wednesday I was running bad and ended up like -600-700$ and Thursday I won 1,2k$ and Friday 600$!

Going to play the deep stack today, hopefully the field is soft there to!

I have been there a few times last 2 weeks, still no 5/5...

Generally on Friday and Saturday nights, it was running when I have been there. Not exactly great games though.

Played 5/5 on Friday night, but only last till 930PM. Then most people went to play PLO. Jupiters have two 5/5 on weekends and very soft...

Generally the people playing 5/5 at night are only doing so until PLO gets up. 5/5 is often the first game that opens at 10am although it's usually changed to a 2/4 by mid afternoon/6pm.

The 1/3 only rarely gets up outside of Friday/Saturdays which is probably a good thing. 2/4 is a much better game

I see Jupiters have moved their poker pit into the middle of all the gaming tables. Gets new players interested. Only 3 tables though.

Was at Jupiters on Friday & Saturday. The new location is both good and bad. There's plenty of people signing up who wouldn't normally before, but with only 3 tables it takes ages to get on the tables, especially on the weekend.

Not having the barrier around the tables sucks though. People watching stand way too close and look over your shoulder. I had a guy on Friday night holding onto my chair bumping me for a half an hour. When I asked him to stop away he responded by asking if he made me nervous. I also heard early Saturday morning that a guy yelled out to his mate when he saw someone had Aces. Fight ensued. Merry times were had by all onlookers.

Certainly has gone downhill in the last few years. Wouldn't be surprised if it's gone completely in a few from now.

I agree Chicken. Compared to where it was at in the dungeon 20 months ago or so, it certainly has shrunk in opening hours, management oversight skill levels and player (and management) enthusiasm. That usually points to the fact it has already been identified by the owners as a "dead duck" (sorry Chicken; no poultry insult intended).

Just a matter of when (?). Good for Treasury though.

Keeps me in a job, for now. Although the end of the year will see tournaments cut from Treasury's schedule (with the possible exception of the Masters & Champs at yet to be determind dates).

There's a few of us trying to light a fire under management's asses to change their mind on it but it's falling on deaf ears for now.

And now there's even more reason to choose Treasury over Jupiters. In the last week they increased the rake on both the 2/3 and 5/5 to 10% capped at $20. Pretty safe to say it's unbeatable. They're just killing poker, it won't run at all 12 months from now.

10% capped @ $20 is really cheeky. Tourist special. I guess Treasury will be packed with GC boys and girls when they open every morning now.

Might take them a few weeks to realise that's it's not worth playing even though it's a soft game, some of them are kinda thick, but if they want to play enough they'll either make the trip up the highway or another few home games will pop up.

Sounds like you migrate between the two frequently. And your phraseology makes you sound more like Charlie with every post.
