Given that tomorrow, Thursday, is Canada Day, I'm also toying with heading up to the Heron. Anyone have any speculation on whether the holiday will be bad for casual play (because people are kicking back having family picnics and the like) or a good day?

20/40 Limit Omaha was going the whole time I was there today, Dbase.

I played 10/20 today and some guy was complaining how he won a $100 plus pot but it was not big enough.....I said "yeah I hate when i have to win chips and then stack them up....so annoying" he just glared at me so I kept going "I hate when the dealer makes you take the money in the middle, winning money sucks!" ha ha I pissed him off pretty good and then he lost a big hand to me when I turned the nut flush and he three bet his set on the turn and I decided checking the river would allow him to get check raised and it worked So yeah I finally got some action at Port Perry by upsetting a guy and then getting nut flush against his set.....pshh.....too much work to get action!!!

I decided that my goal was to get in a four bet preflop hand no matter what it took because last time I never ever saw a hand get fourbet preflop. I managed to pull this off toward the end of the night when I three bet AQ and got fourbet by KK I lost but who cares at least I got to overvalue AQ in a nit rock garden game and managed to have the only 4bet preflop hand in Port Perrry history True fact

So I just arrived in Niagara Falls, Gona have a new thread started about this, but I am here until Aug 1st, Hopefully we can get a group together, Has PLO been running at Falls view or casino Niagara. We also need to go to the Canadian ballet! (Strip Club)

It has but AFAIK only on the weekends. Usually one table full of 15-20 regulars.
Its 5-5. The table dynamic is weird though. Some nightsvit'll cost you 35-50 to see a flop. Some nights everyone limps.

I'm going to Port Perry Wednesday for their sit and go's. I hope they still go. If not I'll be happy playing some Limit HE or Omaha.

I might be heading up on wednesday! I played in there wednesday sit n go about a few months back. Pretty easy field. Majority of the people I played were nitted right up. I sadly only ended up coming 3rd. 3 Places pay in them. Give me a PM if you are going.

I was talking to some dealers and regulars.

The wednesday sit and gos never run.
Spread limit is not popular.
The omaha only runs on the weekends now and it's 10-20 rather than 20-40 for the most part.

Brantford was the same lunacy as always....10-20 , 20-40 action with half kill. I only played the 10-20. I'm sad to say it but, BCC is starting to tickle my fancy more than the GBH.

This time I was getting hit with the deck, hard, and others had the 2nd best hand or the 3rd best had. In a 3 hr period I hit 5 sets, won with 4. Dealt AA three times, KK twice and QQ twice. Won all those except one KK.

Plus their tourneys run, always! Lots of older gentlemen, but still a good time.

Anyways, I'll be at Brantford again very shortly!

I still can't make that transition to NLH. Too boring , and lack of patience right now. I guess you're doing ok?

I time when I go to ensure the best chance for action and haven't been disappointed yet. (although climbing out of a 3 buyin hole one time sucked. I got my money in good in 4-5 big pots and got drawn out on every time)

I find my style of play (derived from how I play limit) has helped me in terms of getting it in with the best of it. The only difficulty I had for a while was bet sizing , I tended to think in terms of limit betting structure.

I'm planning on sneaking in for a 6-10 hour session tomorrow at the BCC though. I can't scratch the itch by playing online...

Also, forgot to mention that the new room is very nice. Jst too many damn drink tables around!! Also, BCC is bringing on a BBJ shortly, for better or worse.
