Great Canadian despises poker and I've heard that there's nothing in the works for either their new Pickering joint nor the future Mississauga one.

Port Perry killed the poker golden goose. They'd been wanting to ever since Rama opened.

Popped in this thread and got depressed. I miss the Heron. I was brought up in that place lol. 1000s of hours at those FL tables lol.

Not sure where you're getting your information from, but it's 12 tables with no exact date yet.

The poker tournaments at Casino Rama always sold out, but believe it or not, Gateway Casinos cancelled all the scheduled tournaments after July 8! The only casino tournaments left in southeastern Ontario is at Casino Niagara. The satellites have started for the Niagara Series of Poker in October.

I don't think so because in the police press conference video gambling machines were displayed and those are the bread and butter of every legal casino. I'm not even sure OLG is hostile towards poker, their partners are as the dollar revenue per square foot isn't as good as slot machines.
