We had 4 handed 1/2 omaha for about 15 min today, 7 ppl on waitlist but they chickened out.

Ran -500 ev today in some ai pots vs meglomaniac fish but only managed to lose 190 at 1/2, lol

i would imagine the biggest problem is people don't want to play shorthanded so you would need like 5 or 6 ppl to get it going before people start joining

Do the tables calculate your EV, or are you just figuring/calculating that yourself?

When people are all-in in holdem and there are no more bets possible then the hands are opened and the percentages are displayed on the table -- but not at any other time. (I would prefer not having the display because I think it simply serves to embarrass the player who got it in bad.)

Last night when I was at 2nl a guy's wife came over to tell him she was ready to leave -- just in time to see him shove it all in and then watch the display come up to tell him he was drawing dead ...

There are no percentages shown in Omaha when players are all-in. I guess Woodbine's programmers felt the variables were beyond them.

Yes, and the management doesn't want to start a short table either.

Last night three of us put our names on the list to encourage others. (The electronic check in with your card is a nice feature. But the e-list clears automatically every two hours, so we had to go back periodically and sign in again.) Finally we got a table of six going around 11.30. That filled almost as soon as we started playing. It remained full or almost so (though several players had busted out or otherwise left) when I left around 2.

I was told there's a regular game on Friday afternoons and that it breaks around 6 p.m.

Oh yeah...

Fallsview tweaked their limits:

$2/$5 - remains the same
$5/$10 - now $500 - $2K
$10/$20 - gone
$10/$25 - remains the same

I am noticing that player play if there is a game going. It is just a matter of having 3 or 4 guys to get the games going. It is not like a regular dealer so they just don't start calling players when theres a full list. It is up to the players to sit and get the game going. Which kinda sucks because no one wants to take the initiative.

I think if we get a few key players getting the game going on a regular basis more will become aware and the game will become a regular thing.

let me know if you guys are willing to try to start to set this up
I am there every weekday .... Always trying to get the J.T. Is my alias on the waiting monitor ... It goes about half of the weekdays and is always short .. And breaks after about 3 hours every time ... .. I feel like it is only a few players away from going steady during the weekdays ... They are always willing to open it short if people want to play .... So if you guys can make it by say noon weekdays ... Let's try and get it going ....

The only time I have seen it run with a full table and healthy list is the last 2 Fridays ...both times we push to open short late afternoon say the second last table to open .... We play short for a couple hours and by 6 or 7 pm all games are full with deep lists and the PLO quickly fills up ... The game is great then also .... So if you want to ensure you play PLO come Friday afternoon for sure!

Introduce you self to me if you read this ... Bald ... Big eybrows J.T. Lol

Hey JT, we played a couple weeks ago, when i sat down the game only ran for about 40 minutes then broke. We were actually discussing exactly what you just posted. I was the young kid two seats to your right, had a brown kid to my right, you were there with a friend who was sitting two to your left. Indian guy across from me. I was the one who was super aggro, raising everything pre.

I am hoping we can get this into a regular game. Lets keep trying.

What seems to be the standard raise at the 200NL max game or is there one? I was there Saturday to register and possibly play but it was too late at night for me to wait and play as I had to take a long bus ride to the other end of the city. Hey I did win a decent slot hit with the free 5 dollar play I was given by Woodbine when I registered for the card.

I've only played in it twice but both times the tables were fairly passive with a lot of limping. (In my second session there was an aggressive player at the table for an hour or so who was doing a lot of 5-10x raising behind limpers with hands like QJx: he went up, he went broke, he left.)

Open raises were generally either 2.5x or 3x. Post-flop bets were often .3-.5 pot with some .75. There was occasionally real post-flop action but not often.

Ive seen open raises ranging from 4-25$, everyone is terrible at 1/2.

If you can beat 1c2c online no reason you shouldnt win 30/hr +++ at 1/2 here since its 150bb max buyin

well there is live racing at 1pm today so that should attract a crowd of some sorts but im guessing most people will be at the mall instead of the casino on boxing day :P

im prob going to be going out there today as well to check out the action.... if anyone wants to start a 5/10 limit or stud table look for a young asian guy who has a racing program in his hands lol

I'm planning on coming out Friday afternoon, not yet sure when I'll get there. Maybe around 2? I look forward to the 2+2ers (I think).

Say hello to the old guy with the grey beard.

I went out to Woodbine Friday afternoon hoping for some PLO but found none. By 4.30 they'd scrubbed the PLO list so they could run NLHE on all 11 tables. What happened to the various posters who'd expressed interest?

What time of the day did you play? Yesterday I played from 6pm to 6amish and the play went from passive rabbit type play to loose donk play where guys would chase for half to a third of their stack for a gut shot straight or flush. I ended up losing 2 buy ins on bad luck and semi poor play on a one key hand with a turn combo draws. The night time play resembled the games that Party Poker had circa 03' when they only had full table and 25NL had massive fish splashing around.

Didn't mean that, I just meant that everyone is so terrible.

I've been super busy at my job the last month and haven't gone in roughly 3 weeks..

Ill get back to crushing late Jan / early Feb!
