Rama has been trying to run a 5/10 NL lately. It plays like a deep stacked 2/5, people open for anywhere from $25 - $50 pre. The game usually goes every weekend but breaks early.

Anyone in the Toronto area planning on playing in the $1300 event with the Matasow/Mizrachi bounty at Seneca Niagara? I started another thread about it. April 30th of this year, $150,000 guaranteed pool, 20,000 chips and 60 minute levels. I usually play online since most Seneca tournaments have been horribly structured, but this one might actually be worth playing.

I havent' played much limit the past year or so..but you'd prolly know me too if you played there ofter the past few years.

Anyhow I just switched to playing mtts..and took down the Port Perry tourney this week for $27K ..Woot woot

Lol, I heard about that Thursday night! I play 5/10 regularly there with the odd 10/20. Im too poor right now for 20/40. Im a really young kid who plays 5/10 there. No clue if anyone will know who I am.

After a hiatus where pretty much everyone figured Jason went broke... He came back.

His game is much tighter than it used to be.

I haven't been out in about 18 months, but I do have a great Jason story from my last time there. He was sitting, deep-stacked, on my left in 20-40 (I'd been in the game about an hour at that point) and was playing normal loose agro when all hell broke lose. He's under the gun, the flop is A88. He checks, it's checked to the puck, who bets; he calls, all else fold. Turn is an Ace. He checks, puck bets, he calls. River is, of course, meaningless, Jason fires, puck raises, Jason 3bets, puck raises, Jason reraises ... 13 bets later (!) Jason freezes. He stares at the player on the puck for a good minute, then throws his pocket eights face up in front of him and says, "Four aces! You win!" The puck shows his Aces. There is then some argument about whether Jason had folded or was intending that as a call. He graciously put in another $40 for the call and the game went on.

I had never before seen that many bets on the last card. Never expect to again.

When I played often there a few years ago I saw him almost every day. Then a while ago I played a couple times and he wasn't there. I asked aboout him and some regulars speculated that he went broke like you said, but I'm glad to hear he's back, lol.

I dealt at niagara for few months and then I actually worked at Brantford for a little over a year as well. I'm awful with names, but I'm sure I'd recognize you guys if you played there a lot.

Man, this thread makes me wanna go play some limit and see everyone there again. Is there still a white guy named Mike wearing black sunglasses that always has a story to tell and complains that he hasn't hit a flop in 6 months? He could be a bit of a trouble maker and a lot of people thought he was really annoying, but I always just though he was halarious, lol.

Yeah Mike is still playing a lot along with most of the 20 regs. Henry/Joey among others

Hahaha. Yeah, I can't picture Jason on the internet. I don't know you by your name, but I might recognize you if I saw you there. I think I might know who Dre is, but not sure. I recognize almost everyone there, but I'm usually pretty bad with names.

My name is Chris. I played there a lot when I dealt at Niagara, before I started working at Brantford. I quit around 2 years ago and only played there maybe 2 or 3 times since then. I'm a pretty average looking white guy with short dark hair and glasses. I'm 24, but look about 16. I don't know else to describe myself, LOL. I think I was the only dealer that liked dealing to Mike, just for the entertainment value.

Cool nice to meet u Chris..dont think I know u tho.. the only Chris dealer I know is this bald white dude... he got a job in the bahamas or somthin like that and just came back like a year or so ago. Now he plays 10-20 every so often.. he was one of the better dealers ..he always used the word "delicious" when he flopped the cards.. LOL

Well i dont play Limit too much anymore.. play sngs/tourneys on Stars alot now..if u see me on the tables my SN is 2_Basic .... I'm surprised u dont know Dre he pretty much knows every reg thr.. lol

LOL. I know who the other Chris dealer is that you're talking about. I'm pretty sure I know who Dre is too, just don't know if I'm thinking of the right guy for sure.

I don't play limit much anymore either. I play NL on CarbonPoker so I won't see you on Stars. I think I'm gonna have to come to Brantford on friday and play all day so I can try to see these guys again and remember who everyone is, lol.

How are the games at Rama these days?

I was at Rama on Sat. playing 1/2. 80% of hands were limp limp limp limp...check. If I didn't raise preflop it didnt get raised preflop.

I made continuation bet on a TT4 flop with QQ and 3 preflop callers, another player said "you bet so fast I figured you must have flopped quads." He was serious.

Saturdays are particularly soft because of husbands playing while their wives are at the concert or event.

Ok. I'm about 90% definite for going out on Sat., March 19. Would you or anyone else comment on what the action is like lately? I know the 50-100 collapsed. Does that mean the 20-40 got tougher? Or is it still pretty wild? Two tables?

Does Omaha go regularly now? What limits? How are the players? (The Heron 20-40 Omaha was crazy wild for a while, but not much was happening the last two times I went--which was last fall.)

Any other thoughts at all would be appreciated.
