Anyone from Toronto able to speak on the legalization of weed in that area? I am visiting the area tomorrow and heard that "it is legal but impossible to find currently" though I also have heard there are open dispensaries... I'm hoping to smoke and play some cards on Monday or Tuesday - any guidance would be strongly appreciated!!!

You can order it by mail from the gov't. There are also tons of dispensaries. It's easy to get if that's your jam.

Thank you for your replies - I will check out the dispensaries listed. Feeling better about finding some stuff, I get pretty anxious without so it is much appreciated!!!

Was it ever confirmed or denied that the new casino in Pickering will have poker? It's supposed to be world class from the looks of it with a 5 star hotel, theater, water park etc. Opening later this year as well. The only issue I can see is it's run by Great Canadian Gaming which is very anti poker at all it's other properties.

Online descriptions suggest there will only be video poker.

Regarding poker at Durham Live, I haven't heard anything one way or the other - it is a bit early. However, i wouldn't get my hopes up. GCG's track record so far in the GTA has been consistently anti-poker and I don't see why things would be different for this new project. GCG had an opportunity to add poker at Woodbine twice last year - once for the 2nd floor expansion and once for the 3rd floor expansion - and declined to do so both times.

only time will tell but don't get your hopes up for either woodbine or pickering, is the current state of affairs.

It's so ridiculous there isn't a poker room in any of the GTA casinos and with Fallsview eliminating it's room we're stuck with the small room at Casino Niagara or driving to Brantford.

The best poker is 4 hours away at Playground or Detroit, I'd rather fly to Vegas and spend my money there which I now do.

GCG isn't getting a cent from me.

Casino Niagara isn't just small, it's terrible atmosphere. Fallsview was bright and enjoyable, CN feels like in some disgusting pit.

The ex introduced NL two years ago. (Or was it the year before that?) They are also now dealing Omaha.

But it's the same old room and the same old players.

I myself am an old limit player from back in the day, so I don't mind having my mind blown. Not much experienced at NL but I sat at the 1-2 game for a couple of hours and it was like watching wallpaper dry. Is that typical?

Not quite NL. Games are technically spread limit as each street has a $100 max bet. Not much of an affect at 1/2 but at 2/5 is changes the gameplay

Anyone interested in meeting up to chat about poker in Toronto? I'm looking for discussion on online cash games, NL25 to NL500.

Woodbine now has bus pickup points on the eastern end of the city and the furthest west pickup point is the Promenade Mall at Bathurst and 7. It costs 10 dollars but you get a 10 dollar casino voucher that I assume has to be rolled over once. Too bad poker isn't seriously being considered for the remodeled casinohttps://casinowoodbine.com/shuttle.

Don't shoot me if I'm wrong but I was told that the new Casino in Ajax may get poker. It will be the 2nd largest Casino in North America when all is said and done. So there's plenty of room.

No, closest would be Port Perry and Brantford.
