I go to casino niagara infrequently for the 1/2 game they spread there. I noticed weekends are usually packed and the waiting lists are humongous. Is it widely accepted that fri/sat/sun are the best times to grind the casino?

What hours would be the best to drop in at? early mornings? late at night? afternoons?

Last time I went the table I was sitting at close to the rail was very deep. I think everyone had at least 400+ with some 1000+ stacks. But everyone played like a nit. This was on a saturday.

Yeah, I hate the idea of a BBJ as I feel the action at BCC is good enough without needing to juice it at all. There are already tonnes of players check/calling their way to showdown every time they hit a draw.

As for the new room, I find it REALLY cramped, but really pretty.

I will be playing some 10/20 there later today. Wish me luck

Yes, most of the dead money in poker games come from bad regs and casual players. The best time to find an abundance of both is on the weekends (as most of the casual players work 9-5 M-F type jobs)/holidays. My most profitable days this year were New Years Eve/Day and Superbowl Sunday.

5-8 PM to start your session with an anticipation of staying late to pick off drunk players chasing losses (though less of that at Canadian casinos as no free booze).

Depending on time of day, you might have just missed a feeding frenzy where several regulars were all that were left and they were waiting for some fresh meat to arrive. Though you will also find your typical rocks who only bother playing with the nuts.

Went to Fallsview for the first time yesterday to play 2/5. It's a nice spot, will definitely go back.

I know they used to have a WPT event there but I can't find anything on their website about a tournament schedule. Does anyone have a link or can tell me anything about when they run, buy-in sizes or anything like that. Thanks.

WPT and fallsview went their separate ways a year ago. No WPT anymore.

Are they replacing it with something? Or do they run any of their own tournaments?

They set up a bunch of smaller buy in tournaments to replace the WPT tournament. I think they were in January.

Quick Trip Report from Rama:

Made my way down this past Thursday and was APPALED by the rudeness of some of the dealers. Simple questions like "Does this casino allow straddles" earned rude comments and looks from the dealers.

However the floor staff must be given credit because they immediately made new players feel welcome in the room which was needed as the entire room was filled with regulars.

Action was nitty but soft and the room was somewhat cramped when all tables were running. Either way, if GBH ever gets NL, then Rama will CERTAINLY lose my business

Is Casino Niagara generally better compared to Casino Rama, on the weekends for 1/2?

Hey, I Grind 1/2 games in Toronto and got a buddy with a house in Niagara Falls so I wanna give that area a try. If im looking to grind 1/2 there should i hit up fallsview or Niagara casino? whats the level of play? rake? etc.

Also, Can you listen to I-Pod at either of them?

Thanks

It's a crapshoot, they squeeze 11 at the table and you start with only 1000 chips with 15 min rounds. Oh, and ante's start at 50/100 if I remember correctly.

If you are looking to play 1/2nl you have to go to Casino Niagara as Fallsview does not offer the game.

Fallsview offers 2/5nl, 5/10nl, 10/20nl or 10/25nl depending on who is there

(905) 374-6928, follow the voice prompts. I was going to guess at remembering them correctly but I know I'd get it wrong.

As for time of day, keep in mind most 'regular' people work Fridays THEN head to Niagara Falls.

Worse than the worst Bingo Turbos, when they run. All the regulars have learned to stay away. I've only see one run in the last several months I've been there.

how do the 35$ fallsview sng compare to sngs online?

a full tilt turbo sng structure is about 3 mins per blind level.... would people say that is comparible irl to the fallsview/niagara sng structure?

Lol. You are probably one of the rocks I am talking about. I have only been a few times, but its the same faces everytime.

I went to casino niagara last night to play some 1/2. Had top set all in vs another set and he rivered quads, and somehow i was still up on the session, so their is def money to be made their.

I just wish the same action existed in toronto.
