I'm from LA, CA but I'm going to be spending a lot of time in Whitby (a bit north of Toronto) this summer and would love to meet up with some poker players who talk about something other than bad beats

Home games are also cool and if you are ever in LA I could plug you into some great home games here. PM me

I see people jumped on the home game. Did you not also mention that you wanted to talk poker. Did you mean like a strategy session?

do they still get 2+ 10/20 and at least one 20/40 going midweek all day?

Currently living up near tobermory, well up on the bruce peninsula, but thinking of a road trip down to brantford/fallsview for a week.

Interested in the midweek action as i know both fallsview and brantford are donkfested on weekends, as is rama and well, probably any other public card room for that matter.

Wait for the GF to fall asleep
Head out to the poker room
Before I leave for the night or morning, grab a lost players card from the slots area to pay for parking.

I keep hearing contradictory estimates of the driving time for Toronto to Fallsview. What's your experience? Others?

Spread limit is now live since Monday (2010-06-07) at Heron.

Basically NLHM except with a $100 bet max.

I'm thinking of heading out to the Blue Heron from Whitby around 2:30pm tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon to play $5/10 or $10/20 Limit Holdem throughout the evening/night. Those games run regularly right? I'm the guy with the huge glasses and pink shirt, say "hi" if you see me.

Toronto - Niagara in the middle of the night is 60-75 minutes.
In typical traffic, two hours.
A lot of this is due to construction on the QEW.

May head down tonight for some 1/2 fun at Niagara.

Hey, I played the spread limit albeit for maybe 60-90 hands only. The players at the table were not relatively fond of it and we ended up breaking the table. The action was slow when I played. They started a spread limit Omaha game. That was crazy! Action was going crazy.

I play at the heron semi-reg. About a few times a month. Some 5/10 but mostly 10/20. Im out in Oshawa and would love a home game to go to as well as a strategy session.

Yah, this does not compare to 20-40 omaha. It is next level action. I saw a few pots well over 1k. I will stick to my 10-20 Limit for now lol.

Has anyone every been to the Terrace Room in Toronto on Younge and Eglinton? I guess they have $5/10 and 10/20 Limit Holdem on Mon and Tues nights..... Is it an underground room does anyone know the rake?

Oh sorry sir. I haven't watched any of the 20/40 Omaha before. I just assumed that that pots were larger then that of 20/40. Probably because of the 100 dollar bets and raises.

Will be staying at Crystal Beach from July 1st to Aug 1st & grinding at Casino Niagara and Falls view. Although more money to be won at fallsview but I believe the people are nicer and fun to talk to at Casino Niagara. Lets try and get some 2P2 to play maybe go out to the bars! I do like to party as much as gamble.
