I agree the new felt is not great but don't see it as a big enough reason to not play there. Also have never had a problem with my eyes/headaches or the lighting and I am someone who tends to get migraines somewhat easily. Interested to hear thoughts from others who play there..

I'm a 1x/month SH rec and I agree the lighting could be better (but it doesn't really affect me when I play).

the only table that is really bad is the one directly next to the podium that they never use anymore. i played on that table once and half the table can't see their cards because it's so dark and the other table is blinded by lights directly shined in their eyes... which is why they probably never use it anymore.

my biggest annoyance with the room is the giant tv should be like 3 feet higher so people far away don't get half the tv cut off by the players in the tables in front of them...

Does 1/2 PLO or 2/2 PLO ever run here? I started an interest list about a dozen times but it never materialized...

Also, what do you guys use your comps on? That little food court area doesn't have much.

It rarely runs, especially since X took his ball and went home.

For comps, Hugo's Steakhouse

Probably a big life-leak for me, but black coffee or tea at Saxby's 🙃

Ive been out of the tourney game for a bit, this sugarrush tourney structure is interesting but my gut tells me its better to just skip the prelim day 1s and reg on day2? Have they run this structure before? Whats average stack from day 1? Looks like it will end with day 1 stsrting stack being 8 BBs so i am guessing most people end around 20bb or 80k? Doesnt seem worth it. But i guess people will go crazy trying to build a stack at end of the day. People will prob be playing like maniacs or folding their way in.

Whats gto strat here guise?!?!?!

Structure is better than it seems due to autoshufflers. I would say average start of day 2 is right around 100-120K. Usually a pretty poorly ran tournament though.

They expire in 30 days so I usually for forget to use them

Horrible policy

Are Props allowed in Pennsylvania? Not prop bets but someone who is paid by the house to play poker. However, the player plays with his own money; the house merely pays him or her an hourly wage to play poker in order to keep the games going and start games? 2-5 NL / PLO usually takes a couple of tries to get started because no one wants to leave their games.

I've wondered about this. Not that I could do it haha

I do not believe prop players are legal in PA, though I could not say so for a certainty. I did a quick search through the PGCB rules and couldn't find anything which mentioned them one way or another.

Sugarhouse doesn't have props, but they have had 'hosts' who run a particular game on a specific day and get paid for it, and bring players to the game.

Looks like SH will be replacing the "instant high hand" promotion with a bad beat jackpot. The hourly & 1/2 hourly high hands will still run (and Bravo says there will be a bunch of $400 & $500 days instead of the current $200 & $300 days).

Without having thought too much about it, I like this a lot.

Anyone know what 1st has been for the $150 on Sundays? Have seen 80+ players registered the last 2 Sundays and wondering what pays on top?

In Philly tonight. How's the action on a Monday evening? Does PLO run, and if so what stakes? How about 2/5 NLHE on a Monday?

I am so disappointed in the management at Sugar House. The bad beat drop going to $1 at $10 and $2 at $30 across all game stakes is hurting an already limping 2/5 game, which is further hurt by the inconsistent floor rulings. Sad

Heard they told the host of the 2/5/10 game to pound sand when he was planning on getting the game running again.

Not sure what SH play is here. It shouldn't be that hard to run a poker room, yet here we are....

yup... they also told us they were going to rake a 1/3/6 NLH / 5-0 PLO game we were trying to get started at $3/hand, THREE HANDED. Which obviously killed the game

dang, just moved to the city and was considering putting a bit more volume at SH since it's much closer for me now, but will stick to parx for sure. was really hoping the 2/5/10 would start back up again.

I would have love it if PLO ran consistently at SH, that would shave 30-45 minutes of my travel time.
