If it wasn't for the holiday weekend, for sure. Count me tentatively in for the following Friday

Just coming here to say I make relatively frequent visits to Philly for both business and because my folks live there and I love this room. Super easy to get to for anyone traveling to Philly for business. Never had to wait long for a seat, and if I've had to wait for 2/5 I've usually been able to sit immediately at 1/2 or 1/3. Dealers seem fine to me, drink service is fine (definitely better than Borgata). I also love that the max buy in on each game is big (i.e. $500 max on 1/3, $1000 max on 2/5).

While sometimes the 2/5 is a little nitty, I had a great game last night. Lots of action, 4 or 5 people had at least $1,000 in front of them, with most everyone else (other than one guy at $300) sitting on $500-700.

I can't make it this Friday, but am game after the Labor Day holiday.

Right now we have 3 - I'll ask around in AC when I'm there this weekend.

is this "blue chip mixed" like borgata blue chip? $10 chips so 40/80 minimum with rather large antes?

blue chip = $2.00 (also featured at Parx)

I've heard this but I was out of the state for about 40 days and came back to comps. Not sure why just an FYI.

The room has been open more than a year and I have to say - the cashiers are just getting worse and worse and slower and slower. And they are almost always understaffed.

Ugh.

Glad you got to keep your comps Kyle. I had someone swiping my card while I was out of town, then he lost the card and I lost the comps.

The cashiers at SH are the worst I've ever encountered. Most are slow and rude, and often nosy. On more than one occasion, one of them has remarked, "Ah, good night for you" when cashing out 2k+. ... These folks have no idea how much I'm in a game for, and should never say anything about the amount I'm cashing out. Just shut up, be polite and count. So unprofessional.

Just asked about comps. The 2 floors standing there told me they don't expire except for the 30 day rule

Agree with all of this. Sugarhouse is the most convenient casino for me to get to and after about 400hrs of play there is nothing that would annoy me enough to look to play anywhere else. Dealers are average to above average. Drink service is sometimes not great but that doesn't bother me bc I don't drink haha. Action is decent in 1/3 and 2/5. It can be reg filled at times but to be honest I've chatted with most of the regs and they are almost all really friendly. Its rare to get a table with too many backpack nerds. The floor management can sometimes be inefficient here but now we're nitpicking. Certainly never had any problems with the cashiers haha. It also looks like they're going to have deepstacked games more often. Saturday night they had two 2/5 no cap games going. I played in one for about 2hrs but then went to regular 2/5 when it started. One guy in the no cap game bought in for 50k and a few guys had like 7-10k. Good action too. Would be a juicy game for a pro with a bankroll or a backer

I count 5, which is enough to get one going.

The Borgata Open is this week and next so I will be in AC. Can we say Thursday, the 21st as the first night?

I can get there at 6pm and start the interest list.

How bout nix razz...a horrible game imo and just call it "low"..and also take out of this rotation btw..HOSE is fine for me.

Been wanting 1/1 PLO8- half rake but the gambler degenerates got hold of ears in this room...mentioned and explained reasoning behind this particular set up to my fav floor b4 the Sunday 1k. *fingers crossed*

I will play the #BlueChip since earl is in and only if we dont have kills, cause I like money

Also, if there are any real players who enjoy legit competition and not the lazy reg softplay, I would prefer mid/early week, mid afternoon start...

I gotta wake up early

We can nix razz - most folks olks prefer Badugi and triple draw lowball games anyways.

We will leave the exact rotation up to the folks that show up - doing it on here is unproductive.

I'm working with Sugarhouse to make sure the plaques are made up prior to the start of the game so I'll have them make plaques for all the games. Having them printed for 4-8 with kill. If we want to play higher then they only need a few minutes to make up new plaques.

If you all would prefer earlier in the week we could make Wednesday, September 20th, the first day. I can show up mid-day as well to help get it started.

Again, Im out on any kill because I do not hate money.

Low stake new/unfamiliar games should be structured with the curious/newbs in mind. This means, no gambling degenerate, pot building formulas that are simply disguised to entice fish to a game that they have no idea how to play and/or how high the game is actually being played.

Trying to introduce these disguised gambly games seems a regular tactic used frequently by the locals/regs so the sharks can feed... Not saying this is your intention

Youre not going to get recs to play consistantly if they feel bambooozled or uncomfortable all the sudden cause they realize the game is a tad out of their budget/comfort zone.

It is in my opinion that new, or not-so-popular games (mix, PLO, RAZZ etc) would be better served/attended if they were introduced in the non-gambly/reeeeel low stake+no rake/half rake varieties.

2/4 + half rake/no rake for awhile. Awhile meaning a looooong while....the room doesnt have the traffic that others have and this needs to be factored in when projecting participation numbers...have all the plaques ready when the recs feel comfy moving up...if ever

I like Razz and I don't see how a half kill to make a kill hand $6/12 would be terrible or overly costly. Make the game too low and it's not worth the drive.

All that said I am still interested, just need details and have it be on a night I am free.
