they don't get added on to your card until the next day - so when I stop by sugar house on my way to atlantic city and play for a few hours i'll never ever get to use my comps since they expire in 30 days and they are not added to the card until the next day.

I like the casino but probably won't play here much.

So I went to SH poker room for first time yesterday and I must say I was fairly impressed...

Got there around 11am, they only had 2-1/2nl tables and 1-1/3nl table going which I thought was odd...Figured a Sat morning would have way more action but i waited about 40mins for a seat when they opened up a 3rd 1/2nl table.

Bought in for 2 hundo and cashed out for 541...not bad at all for a 3hr session.

Personal charging stations are really nice, im a smoker so the outside patio located right off the room was fantastic, text-to-order food right from your seat....Free cocktails for any active player at any limit.

Overall, I give a B+....

Handfull of dirtbag grinders in there

30 days is ridiculous

I'm 20 minutes away but I'll go to Chester next time

Meh. While I agree that 30 days expiration is short and ridiculous, this isn't online poker; I'm not playing there for the menial rakeback they give me. I'm playing there because it's close to my house and filled with idiots trying their best to give their money to me.

Additionally, if you play enough that the comps become a descent amount of money, you're there enough to spend them quickly (as 1-2 meals per day easily spends them). If you don't fall into that category, you're not making anything anyway, so you're losing minimal amounts of money.

Honestly, if it takes me an additional 10 minutes to get to Chester, I'm probably losing more money in time and gas, as I value my time at > a few $ an hour, but hey, that's just me.

The comps expire after 30 straight days of no play. If you play once a month it shouldn't be a problem. That being said I do think 30 days is short because sometimes life happens and you cant make it for whatever reason.

The comp gets me a cheeses teak doesn't make me rich. But if I play every 6 weeks getting zero is stupid

Wow really! I know that game exist at Parx but I'm surprised their attempt to poach it worked.

Well they poached Matt Glantz first, so it was only natural limit games would follow at some point. Surprised it took this long.

I had the unfortunate luck to be ready to cash out right as that game broke. It broke right after the Warriors basketball game ended, which was also shortly after the Eagles game ended. There were two guys from that game cashing out in front of me in line and one cashier. Cashier takes forever to count the chips and get it right (not faulting her for this as I'm sure she hasn't ever dealt with the amounts that this guy had), then she tries to get a supervisor to authorize the transaction and this seems to take forever. During this time there was a supervisor standing on the outside of the cage doing nothing. It was like it was a big surprise when this game broke. Eventually myself and another low limit guy went to the main casino cage to cash out. I'm not sure how long it would have taken, but I waited at least 15 minutes before I left and the help for the cashier had not even shown up yet.

A poker room supervisor and a cage supervisor are 2 different positions. It's likely that the supervisor "standing outside the cage doing nothing" was waiting to see if the players needed anything before they left, but was not authorized to approve the cashout.

Edit: I wouldn't expect a Yankee fan to know this... Go Sox!

What you are saying is correct, so use your small Sox fan brain and extrapolate what I was saying. If he is there for the high rollers, he should notice that what they really need is a cage supervisor and I don't know, maybe call one? I extrapolated that the cashier had already called one instead of standing there waiting for one to magically appear.

Then again, it is PA. I had a cashier at Chester once call a supervisor to cash me out, not because she needed an approval, and not because she was unable to. She called the supervisor because she thought if she paid me she would go to hell. I cashed out for $666.

Has the new LHE promo managed to create any limit games? Still haven't seen any on Bravo but maybe I'm just checking at the wrong times.

I have a few friends visiting from out of town next wknd who might want to play (flingpoo.jpg) - if we call ahead to put 3-4 names on a waiting list, what are the chances that a full table develops? 30%?

Does anyone know when the next Sugar Rush will be? Debating whether to play the harrah's or Parx tournaments or save my tournament money up for that when it comes back again.

5 names would make it go for sure - I check the bravo for it a lot - seem like they only ever have 3 names at most on the list. When did you want to play? I can make sure I'm there with enough notice. I think it's a good promo - decent odds to win $100 if you play long enough. It definitely hasn't done anything to create any games though.

Anyone interested in trying to get a 5 card PLO game going? I'm thinking 2-2, 5 to enter, $100-$500 max

I'm not really into 5 card, but i'd gladly show up for 1/2 on most weekends. The game went Friday for 8-10 hours, was a good game. If some regulars want to try and get it running on a schedule, I'd be up for participating in that action.
