Since no BBJ is being taken, state law says all games must be eligible. If you don't like play PLO! I don't like it and I'm still not playing PLO so no one to blame except myself.

Thanks for that info. I had no idea they did that and just got tier matched

On another note, it's going to be really tough to justify putting up with these dealers once they raise the rake.

What is the situation with backpacks? I am a bike rider so I'm always walking around with one on. The other rooms treat it as "subject to search" which is fine with me. Just wanted to make sure SH doesn't have any policies before I head in.

Thanks

They have a bike rack in front of the poker room. Security will perform a halfhearted search of your bag, other than that you're good to go.

Does anyone know how often 5-10s run here and if so what days of the week?

toddparxpoker - Thank-you for the question. We happen to have a 5-10 going right now. We usually have them at night, mainly on the weekends. Raye

Checkout the NEW Tournaments added this month, posted on Bravo. Raye is true to her word.

A Sunday Night NLHE Turbo at 10 PM for 65/15/5 - $85. 12 Minute Levels. $10,000TC. Registration Open until end of Level 6. Started Last Night.

A Tuesday PLO Bounty at 7 PM for $80/15/5/25 Bounty - $125. 20 Minute Levels. $15,000TC. Registration Open until end of Level 6. Starts tomorrow 1/6.

Would be interested to see how many runners last night got and what Tuesday will bring?

Hopefully that Tuesday night PLO becomes popular and can stick. Great idea to put that up against the other Tuesday tourney near town, provides some variety.

Perhaps I'll play tomorrow even though I have only a moderate clue in PLO. I could see it being a bit of a ****show with the new dealers and some players who might not know what's going on.

Raye taking the pulse and putting out the tournies requested is a great sign! Can I request Wednesdays be a straight $82 + $13 + $5 with no bounty and an early start time like 6pm? Something the working folks can play on a weeknight?

How are the games?

The $1-$3 $500 cap sounds interesting. Finally something between $1-$2 and $2-$5 that makes sense.

Remember when Parx tried running a $1-$3 with a mandatory buy in of $300? So silly, it's not like there is a short stacking epidemic at $1-$2

What are you talking about? Parx has never had $1/$3 AFAIK. I remember emailing the poker room director a while back and he said they hoped to get the game approved by the state but it hadn't happened yet.

And there is absolutely an epidemic of shortstacking at $1/$2. And it's a problem at Sugarhouse, where dealers seem to not enforce the minimum buyin.

Parx ran a $1-$3 with a $300 buy in a couple years ago. It only lasted 2 months because it was pointless. At PARX, there really aren't a ton of short starkers at $1-$2 unless this is something that started happening like 6 months ago since I've been there...

Been thinking about catching the train down there from NYC. The one thing, i checked out the location of the place and it doesn't exactly look like the greatest of neighborhoods. Also, in damn near every review people have mentioned that it's packed full of lowlifes. I could care less about the slots etc, as i'm just about poker. But what kind of crowd frequents the poker room?

The poker room is steps from Valet.... and is in a sports bubble (separate from main casino). It's about 60 feet from the main casino, but there is security in the lot, and the lowlifes don't tend to frequent the poker room.

Thanks for the info.

Looks like i'll be going to Foxwoods first this weekend and i'll try to get down there on a Friday before the month is out.

Completely agree with this. The casino floor may have some lowlifes, (lowlives?) but the poker bubble is your typical poker room, full of middle aged complainers.

Fun, actually.

By the way, the 2-5 game the last few days has been lots of fun, with constantly 700-1200 dollar pots. I'm sure some of you have been in them.

How many people have the noon tournaments been averaging during the week?

I will likely be going tomorrow.

Would be good if one of Raye's staff post the results similar to the Poker Room up North.

The only hesitation may be that the turnouts and payouts have been low.

Another reason may be that it would take too much time to post on Bravo.

It would help to know what to expect when heading to the room like FromACtoLV.

Do any LHE Games > 2/4 ever run?

How about Limit Mixed Games of any kind?

I'm very likely to be there tomorrow, if I go I'll post the number of entries.
