Both are gonna be hard to find a studio in, since it is mostly rowhomes. Last I checked (6 years ago), a studio at Schmidts was like 1200$ or something ridiculous like that.
Are you looking for a place to live, or a place to crash after a long session?
Thanks for the input.
I'm basically just looking for a studio apartment.
Won't be staying there 100% of the time, but 4-5 days/wk. It's gonna serve triple duty tho: I work from home so I'll be using it as a weekday office space and also as an online poker lair in addition to a place to crash after long live sessions.
Basically an office and grinding/studying pad with a bed. Just neatly packaged in a studio apartment.
Don't mind spending $1400/mo or so considering how frequently I'll be there.
Don't care about the "hipness" of the area, this is solely a pragmatic transaction.
The reason for Philly is it's the best geographic compromise between where I live now (NY) and the local casinos in the area (Parx, SugarHouse, even AC, DE, and MD). I need to get in live poker reps as I prepare to play more live poker in 2020 (I'm an online-only player at the moment). I don't wanna drive 1.5 hrs to Parx every time I wanna play a live session. And I also need a separate work area and grinding area away from my primary residence--it's too noisy and distracting to work and grind there.
