The 5/5/10 $1500 buy in PLO game runs every day though right?

Return visit Metski? Thought you went back to Poland? Star isn't what it used to be, nor is Crown. Shrinking rapidly, all casinos are pushing the lowest stake tables to get traffic up. I'd hate to depend on any casino for an income stream in 2018; not many regulars around in any Australian casino these days.

Online killed off. Some have tried to bypass the system - costly mistake. Governments use too much technology these days. Some morons even make the mistake of posting online results on social media ( including here), with real name, location, age etc....big problem during an online ban.

Casino poker rooms need a re-think to revitalise their business. Reducing commission after shedding a few staff would be a start; unlikely to happen though. Fewer and fewer poker players, means the rake will go up to maintain their profit. Star will probably introduce a flopped royal flush jackpot like Crown to help things along - but the punters will pay for it.

Certainly a different world from when you started this thread all those years ago.

Jackpot came in a week ago. 4 week trial but that’s the law and they’ll keep it

We only had 1 2/5/10 game on Saturday night. It was me and 6 refs and an American pro for a while. I actually went to 2/3 which was a mistake because three fish immediately sat down

Still, I actually think the room is run better than it has been for years, albeit there are major problems still.

I also think the doom and gloom isn’t all true. MTTs get bigger every series and I think the standard of the 2/5/10 in general is softer than the 5/5 game has been in previous years - mainly because the top players went to PLO or are playing on the Chinese apps

@trump Poland doesn't have pokers so i stayed moving to America soon though. Is true all of the younger regs are gone from a few years ago and rake is higher.

Is it the same jackpot as @ Crown? Also 1x 2/5/10 on a Saturday night is pretty drab.

Agreed - for some reason my phone changed Regs to Refs.

Yes same structure as Crown - dealt Royal. Starts at 10k and then builds with the additional take being added constantly. They also have some Mon to Thurs $50 Hugh hands and bad beats which take some of the money away from the Royal promo.

They changed rake - abolished time charge but rake is now up to $15 max

Ahh, yeah a friend of mine said they got rid of time charge and kept the $10 cap. I was like that's too sick if real lol. $50 for high hand is kinda disappointing but fine obv if the main jackpot is royal.

agree tbh, I'd rather they either made the high hand worth winning, or abolished it. $50 is pretty meh.

maybe they could do a $250 every 3 hours or sth that also meant people had something to stay for?

Yeah, $50 is just a complete waste of space. $250-$500 every however many hours would be good. But better off just scrapping the $50 and putting it towards the main jackpot I recon.

Wondering how soft the usual weekly mtts at Star Sydney are?
Any variation in the Monday/Weds/Sunday ones despite the differences in buy ins?
Last question would be what time (approx) would the Monday Turbo tend to finish up?
Cheers

Who else is enjoying waitress-free weekdays? I know I like less drunk people around and now Star switched to a higher rake format, increased action could only be a bad thing for the casino's bottom line.

I've read this about 5 times and I can't work out if you're serious or not?

AFAIK 10% capped at 15AUD (previously capped at 10), no time charge anymore.

Does the 5/10 still run regularly ?
And does it play as 5/10/20 like the 5/10 in Melbourne usually does when it gets up where everyone always straddles?

And there's no 5/5 right? Might come up to play for a bit soon but never been to the star. Good luck on the tables everyone
