That seems high to me but I wouldn't be surprised if some are achieving something near that.

Keep in mind 10 BB/h are 40-50 BB/100. At the 2/3 game (or similar microstakes game) it's limited by many people being shortstacked and the rake, at the 2/5/10 you run into many (semi)competent players against whom you cannot make anywhere near these numbers after rake, so you have to make a lot more against the whales to even get close to these stats.
cheers for the input

just to confirm....by BB/100 are you talking Big Bets/100 or big blinds per/100?

ie. @2/3 - $30 to $60/hr or $15 to $30?

and @ ~ 30 hands/hr doesn't 10 BB/hr = 30BB/100?

Big blinds and counted with 20 - 25 hands / hour (usually said to be live poker average). As long as the table is not short it is hard to get in more hands. Higher stakes are probably a bit faster because more hands end preflop, whereas at a small game such as the 2/3 a lot of hands see a flop. Although the star is prolly slightly above average with respect to dealing and player speed.

I don't believe $30/hr is crushing 2/3 at the Star but they typically deal around 30 hands/hr with auto shufflers there.

$30/hr is definitely crushing at 2/3. thats like 30bb/100 hands. unless there are some big whales, it's pretty hard to do.

I'm at $26/hr over 800 hrs and I've seriously hated my game over that whole period. I feel like I've left a ton of money on the tables.

Start with correct spelling, grammar and punctuation and the win rate may follow

The win rate of a highly skilled player is totally irrelevant to you because you are not one.

Ha - you normally watch me donate $$ to others I think?

As it goes, I've been on a bit of a tear recently - have made back the $6k US I left in Vegas over the past 50 hours.

have you played with the young Chinese kid at the 2/3 tables - the guy that sold the dating app in China for millions? I've only played with him in the afternoons but he has 100% whale tendencies. sends the table crazy and isn't afraid to get in 400/500bb stacks with draws etc. He's paid off a WSOP buy in to me in each of the past two sessions, albeit he's broken a few hearts

definitely worth seeking him out

What do you guys think of the new 1/1 game they've started up? Do you reckon it'll stay or they'll dump it after the trial?

I've played it the past two weeks and it's been fun, although the wait list was really long last Thursday and the $10 cap on the rake is quite large for this game.

I won't ever play it but I was in there on Thurs and it had a negative impact on the 2/5/10 and 2/3 games as there were fewer games and longer lists

So, selfishly, I hope it doesn't stick

Sounds like bad news for the 2/3 game as it will hoover away some of the worst players and leave all the wannabe pros and TAG fish regs. Also, I know shortstackers are hated but at 2/3 they tend to buy in for $100 and spew it off, repeat twice and then leave. Those guys will presumably be playing 1/1 now.

Do you run any PLO home games? I am a PLO reg at the Star and probably know you if you’re a reg too.

has anyone had any success in getting a 12 month exclusion order reduced at The Star? I have wrote to them but they said its a minimum of 12 months and to apply after this time.
