got to say that I thought Star ran the recent series very well. Record numbers in each of the major events and I didn't see/hear any major issues with the way the tournies were run.

running the Main and Opening Events as repecharge increases numbers substantially. I do think the Opening Event day 1 is a little long - I realise they're doing this to maximise the re-entries, but bagging up at 3am on a week night is hard work and just crushes those of us who have day jobs

I like the fact that the ME now has 11 levels in day 1, because it used to make the day 2 horribly long if you made it all the way through. The structure is really good and there's a load of play in day two, which is awesome.

New room is outstanding. Huge props to room management for some excellent changes recently. Now just need to crank up the marketing to drag the punters in. Approx 10 minute wait at 10pm for the 2/3 tonight. With that elevated area I'm hoping they will be trying to spread some high stakes cash

I was a little underwhelmed with the new room though it's not finished yet so I'll reserve judgement.

The chairs are horrible...way too hard and they're too high. Table will be ok once everyone gets used to pushing their chips forward.

The smell of cigarette that lingers in the room is kinda annoying

I'm a very average height and found the chair height quite good. Each to their own

Shuffler broke at our table yesterday, took like an hour to get a tech over. Meanwhile the world's slowest dealer shuffled manually for 15 minutes before they changed him for someone with fast hands.

Of course they could have just moved us to a working table but nooooooo that would be too hard.

Why does the star doesn't allow to use cellphones in the table?

They said that's due to NSW regulation, but I think it's generally a good rule.
